Yes I trace the ducting hole with a pencil, then with a box cutter I cut the hole, Then i put about 3" of the ducting into the hole then duct tape the hole so it seals it. The celing should be drywall so it cuts easy, Just make sure you cover your plants with a trash bag when you do that. Also try to avoid the studs...

Sorry I didnt get back to you sooner. That unit looks great. keep in mind that Unit will have an exaust on the back of it. It will be a round port, Put ducting on that and vent it up out of the attic also. Then you will be good to go! so you will now have 2 outs. The A/C and the hood with the vortex. Now you will have a sealed room with a vaccum effect. We will go over the last step, its a simple one. Once you have done those things, take some pics. and we will finish the set up. Your almost there! you will have some very happy plants....They will thank you in a very nice way!!!!
