What's wrong with micacle grow potting soil?

Ive always used MG Time release soil. Just the crap u can buy everywhere. It has never done me wrong, the only time it has was when i did it wrong and messed up the ph of my water. Its pretty darn easy, my method is during the sprouting phase i ph my water to 7.4 (keeps the nuts from bein consumed), i stay on that for a couple days then the next 2 days i go down to 7.2 then the next 2 days down to 7.1 and so on until i get down to 6.9. 6.8 is supposed to be ideal for MG but ive always had better luck stayin at 6.9-7 ph level. Other then that, thats all there really is to it. The point is, its a darn plant, a pretty darn strong plant as well. Just use some common sense while usin it, dont over water of course, and keep that ph level at a nice happy medium and ur fine.

The desnity of bud depends on the light... very true but a soil mix that has time release nitrogen will stunt bud growth, and better nutrients (including bloom enhancers on top of a good quality base bloom nutrient) will improve yield. And good luck flushing your soil clean with plant food pellets in there.

And when did i say it was a slam dunk..maybe you should check those posts out again.:lol: You didn't say it, nor did I say you said it, i said you treated it that way. which you did.
It's really silly to be crossing words. we have already established that the miracle grow products are inferior to most other products on the market. however, if your goal is to simply produce bud that you can smoke, it can do that.

Miracle Grow can work for you, or can turn your plants in to shit. What you guys are debating, is wether or not you can be a complete moron and grow with MG, as opposed to growing with safer products, and still have it work for you. (pardon the term moron).

Its been said, that you should learn how to grow dope before you try to take it up. If you know very little, its still possible to have a successful grow using MG, but the chances are slim, whereas if your using FF OF, youll increase your chances of having a happy harvest by at least 50%.

BUT, if you are at least even SEMI-versed in growing cannabis, you can pull off a NICE grow in MG soil, no matter what it is. I've seen it done on multiple occasions here at RIU. Search for it. There's even one or two old timers on here who swear by it, and grow lb's of dank ass nuggets with the stuff.

Obivously as a newbie in general, until you get the hang of things, you are going to rely on the products that you purchase to get you through your grows, thinking that the latest, greatest miracle tonic is going to get you the best shit that anybody has ever seen. As you go along in your grows, your going to find out that you have to fully understand how each individual plant works and is speaking to you throughout the grow, in order to get each and every plant to reach its maximum potential. And you can do this by using MG soil, or by using Completely Inert Media, and just one or two additives.

Its the Grower, NOT the soil or additives or any other outside factor, that ruins plants and entire gardens. Lack of care and attention ruin plants and gardens. If a soil is made that can grow a tomato plant, it can grow a cannabis plant. If a product is made that can help to grow fruits or vegetables, then it can be used to grow cannabis. It's all about the Grower. If thats all you have to work with, then learn how to work with it, and get GOOD at it. You cant just use a product once and then run around telling the world that it SUCKS. YOU suck at growing pot, the product just did what you made it do. Learn what you are doing with what you have, and you can move mountains...

Good luck with your grow. :D

Really no better way to put it. If I remember correctly my avatar is MG moisture control and Cfls, neither are the best in their area but that doesnt mean they cant do work when used correctly. Yeah I do use HPS/MH now with a Roots/FF custom blend but I still pulled some good crops before I got this system.
