I've read all the "if you have a plant problem read this first" and i still can't figure out what my problem is.

This is my first grow

I'm using clay pellets as my medium

Hydroponic dwc system currently has 3 plants in it.

the pictures you will see is of the biggest plant/the only one with the problem

I've ph'd my water to 5.8. I also started using tap water and thought that might be the problem, but it wasn't so now i used water out of a filtration thing at the grocery store, also ph'd it to around 6.0

I have not started using any nutrients yet.

i have a fan inside my closet blowing out air 24/7 even when the light is off.

the current bulb im using is a metal halide.

my light schedule is between 18-24 hours a day of the lamp on.

I'm on day 22 since i put the seed in.

Help!??!?!

Now I'm not one of the professionals.... but I would say you have got a Magnesium deficiency. If you are using RO water from the store filters you need to be putting back in some of the calcium and magnesium those filters take out. Go to your hydro store and get some CalMag and use it at 5ml/gal for the rest of your grow.

Tap water is often a hard water with a high PH.. This is what locks up your Magnesium if you have a deficiency. Try to keep your PH down well under 6.0 I liked 5.5ish myself. And let your water sit out over night and evaporate some of the chlorines in it before making up your mixture for feeding... Or maybe thats the problem all together. You said you weren't feeding them yet? Maybe its time to start.?.?
What ever it is, he's right about it looking like an Mg deficiency.

I too have the samething going on with my Grape, Checked my PH its at 7.9 .......

Whats a safe way to lower Ph ? I have flushed them with 6.3 water and my soil seemed to rise back up to 7.5-7.8 area..

Then when is it safe to feed and get the Mg def. taken care of ?

Are the spots hard or soft? It could be a moisture issue.

Also, how's your humidity? When do you mist?

he reason you're plants are showing defs, is because they are hungry and have no food. you should have started feeding after 11 days or so, or after 3 alternating internodes. day 22 of veg, them bitches are hungry!

There's your answer! Those babies need nutes when their first set of true leaves sprout. Esp in hydro man, there's 0 nutrition... you've got Ethiopian weed plants :( Start slow, like 1/4 strength what the bottle says.
