When and how to clone for sex? Help plz

Sup rollitup peeps, got a grow going, regular seeds, and I'm just wondering when and how to clone for sex. My plants are already 1 month into growth & still don't seem to have enough inner growth to cut a clone from to flower for sex? I read that once they have their first 3 sets of true leaves, their sex is determined, so do I just clone now, since they are that far along? I can't just cut 2 of the leaves of and start cloning them, cuzz they don't have 2-3 nodes to cut off to help it root? I feel like if I take any cuttings from it now, it would b very harmful to the little plant lol, but whats the point of cloning for sex if it can't be cloned till the plants around 2 months old? Cuzz won't it show preflowers around 3 months? So cloning for sex will save me maybe 2 weeks? As you can tell I have never cloned before & I just don't want to waste anymore time on males! you don't need 2 or 3 nodes for a clone.. if you simply top a plant, you can always make a clone out of the top and put that into flower.. ime, plants from seeds usually don't show sex for a good 60 days or more..
if you top the plant, just take that top and make a clone out of it... put it under 12 / 12 and in a week / 10 days or so, you should see preflowers..

you don't have to wait very long to top a plant honestly.. check out uncle ben's topping technique for 2 or 4 main cola's for a better idea of when and where to top..

you can also just take one of the bottom branches off of the plant and use that as a clone.. again, it doesn't need to be any set length or have so many nodes to it.. about 4 / 6 inches long is a good length ime..

-Just a word of advice, I have always had the clones that I take closer to the top of the plant grow faster and yield more than bottom cuttings. But my bottom clones root faster, historically. There is something to be said of the plants momentum that I have yet to figure out. If any one else has noticed or experienced this, shout out... cause I wanna know why.
