when using sunshine mix #4 u should ph your water 6.7-7.0 bc the peat/lime drop the waters ph until a few waters all you have to do is put some sunshine mix in a cup/grow bag just like ur guna do in ur bags/buckets for ur ladys and run ph"ed water through the empty cup or bag or bucket lol and test the run off when ph"ed at 6.5 it comes out 5.8 when ph"ed at 7.0 run off is 6.3 optimal plant uptake is between 6.0-6.3ph so u want to aim for a run off between 6.0-6.3 try this test urself and record it to get ur own results
I'm finding Sunshine 4 to be quite acidic. Even when I water at 7.0, the run off is at 5.8, IF that. Probably going to switch to rockwool because the plants are showing nute deficiency / imbalance signs which I'm betting is due to the acidity.

Im having the same issues ..Im feeding at a PH of 7 ..my runoff is 5.5 to 5.7 ....When I make a sludge and test it ,it is 6.2 .If I let the sludge sit a few hours it drops to almost a perfect 6 .I let it sit overnight it was just a hair under 6 ...But I suspect that after I feed, the PH is dropping much lower as the days go by ....My plants look like crap ..Ive been indoor growing for a long time and never had these issues before ?? Ive never used Sunshine mix before either ,I bought it because it was cheaper than coco ...I did not add lime because it says there is already lime in the mix??I use Cal Mag ...Im worried Im going to lose my garden ..
