When to start topping?

Wayyy too soon... I would wait a couple weeks. I don't like the topping technique. I think it stresses the plant out tooo much.. I fimm the tops, but even then you should wait probably 3 weeks. patiennnccceeee

Yeah if I were you, I would top some, and leave some normal. To see what you get and to get an idea of what you want to do next year.
Im going to fimm some and leave some the same, whichever I yield the most from is what ill do from here on out.

I had never done topping until this year either. It is a great technique for maximizing space and yield. I did mostly fimming though, which takes a bit more precision than topping but ends up giving you more than two main colas. Experiment with both, but not until you've reached your 4th or 5th node at least.
