When I first started growing I brought into the whole run off thing. Now I know that's not required and actually damages your plant in soil as you're just releasing more nutrients that's in the soil. You should have minimal run off

You're saying you should only water coco to run off once every 2 weeks?

I'm by no means experienced grower but i have done alot of research into coco and pretty much EVERYTHING i've read and watched has said to water til run off daily unless you have recently transplanted.

I'm not arguing, i'm an avid learner and your opinion is valid as anyone elses. I like to call it healthy debate with idea being to filter out the bs and get to the TRUTH.

Honestly you're one of the only people i've heard say to water coco to run off only once every 2 weeks. It goes against everything i've ever learnt.
It's not a run off - It's an actual "flush" of sorts - called leaching...For the record - I never liked coco! Too much work. Since it's considered a hydro style run.....It's much easier to run an Ebb or DWC in my book..

Run off = water coming out the bottom holes of the container in ANY amount. Yes runoff. No not leaching or flushing just proper watering . Take soil from a bag, pot a plant in it and water. Depending on what mix you use like peat based it can be very hydrophobic. Pockets of perpetually dry soil can and do happen causing strange die off and other symptoms. I personally feel better about seeing a very little bit of water bubble out of the bottom holes. Not fill the saucer amounts guys just a small leaking if you will. Just my opinion.

Yeah, I could care less if a cup of water comes out of my 60 gallon pots once a week. No biggie.
