Thinking about trying autos for the first time. Where can i find some good genetics and strains? Also is the feeding different than normal? What else should i be prepared for?

DC seed exchange is good. Oregon elite seeds I believe has a few good breeders and Grey Beard Seeds is pretty reliable from my experiences. Thos are seedbanks. The breeders you are looking for are Dinafem, Dutch Passion, sweet Seeds, Mephisto, Mandalorian Genetics, Fastbuds, Humboldt Seed Organization

Good recommendations here. Can't go wrong with any of them. I've had good luck with most all of the random breeder autos I've tried for the past 18 months or so. Keep in mind that most of the better known distributors/resellers don't want to sell garbage ;) . That said, if you can get your hands on some Mephisto beans, just do it.
As for feeding, I run Canna coco nutes in straight coco at about 30 to 50% recommended most of the time and go up from there if they want it.
The only don't ever "rule" I follow for auto's is not to transplant. I've had great luck with topping but I am running in coco under cobs so I get explosive growth.
Be prepared to discover how easy and convenient autos are.

3 day difference in the pics. Blue Haze by ILGM. This is a photoperiod plant. Just wanted to give you a visual on their seeds as a plant.
I really gotta stop being lazy. I ordered 40 white widow (most recommended WW strain at the time) and 20 blueberry kush photo seeds from ILGM ~3yrs ago when it became legal in my state. Then I found auto's . My Dinafem seeds arrived first and well... It's hard to get away from just popping 2 new seeds every month. I could use a break from monthly harvests though. XD

Rollitup is kind of biased against Autos. Go to autoflower.net if you really want to learn. The consensus around there is that there are 3 top auto breeders. Mephisto, RocBudInc and NightOwl. The seeds for all 3 of those breeders are in such high demand that its nearly impossible to get your hands on them. Fortunately, RocBud is dropping every couple of weeks this month. Go to his reddit page to find out more.

Mephisto and NightOwl just dropped a couple weeks ago so you're out of luck there. However, if you go to the Mephisto website you can find their grow guide for autos. They typically like less strong soils than photos and a 18/6 or 20/4 light cycle all the way through.

Well, Mephisto says in their guide that they run light 24/0.

If you look up "best place to find seeds online" on youtube a guy will show u a few sites but they cost about $10 a seed and only come in packs of 5 or 6 plus shipping is like $90 for like 6 seeds
That's a waste of however long that video is. You have growers here that have been around the breeders block a few times. DOn't take my advice lol I suck

But my babies are beauties.. even the runt lol
But the ILGM B haze I showed you has evolved nicely, and throwing out 11-13 bladed leaves.

I've grown autos for 15 years and bought beans from many seed companies...some big, some boutique, some in between. Always pretty happy with every strain/every breeder I grow. With the competition leading breeders toward bigger yeilds and more potency, it's not hard to find some really good strains from all banks... usa or otherwise.
