Where can i purchase the REAL Absinthe in the USA or Internationally?

i keep findn crap absinthes that dont even come close..i have herd of Kings Gold Absinthe..I want to buy a 5th a bottle but as cheap as i can! please help!?
 
Anyone ever experienced the "green fairy effect"? The one time I had the real stuff I was drunk off my ass before drank very much. I found it to be quite tasty when prepared properly.
 
it would be pretty hard. lot of the ones out there are fakes. true absinthe is distilled from wormwood. lot of them are just strong liquor with wormwood as an additive.
 
i know i was in nyc like a year or two ago in some dive bar in the village and they had absinthe for sale there... not sure how real it was or not, but they were selling it..
and yah, i had thought that the us had lifted their ban on it a few years ago now... i know when i was in amsterdam, they had all absinthe bars were they sold nothing but it, and also in barcelona they sold some big ass bottles of it on every corner liquor store in the city..
 
Well around my area we list wormwood as a noxious weed. Lots and lots of plants growing all over the place.

From research I have done on it Absinthe is a bit of a farce. Correct me if I am wrong.

You are not wrong. People claimed absinthe made people hallucinate and see green fairies... and the artists that loved absinthe promoted this fallacy. I believe Van Gogh was one who helped spread these myths in his time.

In the US the thujone content has to be less than 10ppm for it to be cleared by the FDA. Just buy it from Alandia it's not like customs really gives a fuck about it. IIRC they do reshipping.

I love most drugs but am an alcoholic by trade, and absinthe is the greatest thing i have ever had. it doesn't make you "trip" but you get an enhanced inhebriation from it, like a euphoric enlightenment. i have read however that as you drink more of it over a long period of time you will begin to hallucinate mildly. last time i drank it i saw trails and color enhancement. absinthe rules.
