that depends if your vegging use cfl's that are called "daylight" or "cool white" and for flowering use "warm white.

Use 6500K(daylight) for your vegging cycle. Do NOT stritcly use the warm white you will only promote stretching. For a mix up you can use say 1 2700k(warmwhite) per 3 6500K bulbs. You need to concentrate on the blue end of the spectrum for vegging, and the red side when flowering.

Going back to ur question... actually i tried flowering with "cool white" it fcked everything up, it grew buds but they were pretty tiny they were only the size of my pinky nail.. potent little buds. Now i wanna know the answer to your questio too coz i have to get my cfls on the net. Im from Australia man so its pretty strict around here. I have to travel a good 2 hours to get some good weed... so said what the heck why not grow my own. sorry about the blubberin im fucken rip as motherfckerr.

Alot of people use both sides of the spectrum during both vegging and flowering stages. Once a plant has reached it's maturity level and you give it enough light (assuming you will be using your soft white bulbs which is a colour spectrum of 3000K) and you give it 12/12 and the proper nutes and care...your plant(s) should turn out fine.

I would reccomend at least 5 lights per plant once they have reached any size at all. When they start to flower you going to want to add a few more per plant. Look for the highest wattage available...most places carry 42W bulbs.

Well there seems to be some conflicted advice here..as compared to other ex spurts. There seems to be a suggestion for a blue flowering tint to the ligh...which I aint never heard of that. I thought it was blue for vegging and red for flowering? Then this other fella run a test and he say it dont make no difference i.e. killer weed like red and blue in all phases. Looks like there would be some old doper hippys who know how to do arithmetic could solve some of these dielemmas huh? I think it might be the short term memory loss they are expuriencing which probits the science from taking place. Who knows?
