Which LED would you recommend for 5x5 tent?

2 vs 1 just gives more options. But that 1000 watter would kick ass in a 4x4 or a 5x5 and then some, lol.

Are you saying if I do go with more than one board in a setup, co2 should be incorporated?
And are you also saying that to veg only with 10% power period or just in a multiple board setup?

Not sure but l just bought a 408w that supposed to have 1764 umols, lm going to use in 2x4x5 breeding tent. Might be too much compared to 150w 3k in there now. Youve got 4x the sq ftage so about same amount of photons. Id put 4 of these in 5x5 flower tent, ld probably go with the Aglex 3000s instead of the 2000 which l have. I like a lot of light, my hps 1k was always under 2ft away from canopy.

That's what I was thinking, especially being in a tent. Now if I was in an open room I could totally understand the having an array of light overlapping and penetrating, but with all the reflective material in a tent I would think 1 would be more than enough.

Fohse A3i around 5000us funds guessing on price, old quote, at around 4500 umols kick ass high power at 1500w from wall so around 3.0 efficiency

The more videos l see on coverage area, the more bar styles makes sense, lf l had the money ld buy drivers and 3 or 4k bars with 660 deep reds and buy 4ft sections, then adjust number for power level your plants require. For 4x4 use 2 bars for seedlings 4 for young veg and so on, double up for flower, lmo. This would be a very versitile system, and can be upgraded easily. There are some good light engines for sale out there PLC is about 25us for photo with red. 2ft strip. Should be able to find cheaper or in monos for much cheaper. At top you only need about 200w to veg 4x4 and only need 6 to 800w to really crush it in flower. Im in 600w area last few lights.

I like multiple units for the light spread and I don't need to run them at 100%, I have 4x240w Kingbrite Samsung 301H boards for my 5x5.

Fohse 660w, bar or spyder style light, no dimmer is bummer in veg. Light has mix of 3k and 4k whites and 660 deep reds.
Am guessing on colour temps of whites, very stoned atm.This light doesnt boast highest efficacy at 1550umols but does penetrate 2 feet into the canopy.
4x4 tent Georgia runtz, bud tops anywhere from 1 inch to around 10 inches from light now, which is good bc lm out of height in tent, first run with this light, is a borrower and very very happy.
Light has filled the tent out well, only thing missing is Co2, and l do have mushroom bag and a few bottles of sugar and yeast to suppliment a bit.
9 plant canopy. This light rated for 5x5 tent l believe, or hanging arays of them.
Is day 38 or 39 since flip, candy aroma and a touch of gas hidden in there too. Lit farms seeds nfsot.

getting par levels approaching co2 at less than full power is a plus imo.

Right now I run a Fold-8 at 80% in a 4x4 but it would work great at 100% in a 5x5. Definitely go for a bar light, the coverage is incredible.

Yeah, it seems to be the way to go with a good majority of the people. The thing is with that I would have to plug them into the same outlet or surge protector and I'm not sure if the outlet can handle that power.

Hey, that's a very nice looking LED and setup. However, the wait time on it is at least a month away though and I'm trying to get busy now.

From what was said It's the same light with the same price, so I see why you may have recommended the 720 instead of the 650.
Looks like the 650s might be my next light.

Make your own co2 and run hose into waterbottle for filter as a visual indicator that its still gassing off. Sugar and yeast and can add something acidic to help it cook, ketchup works.

Total waste of time for me. I keep par under 1000 and I’m not sealed. Normal outside co2 levels 400-1000 ppm normal co2 in an occupied space with good circulation 1000-2000 ppm . Opening my tent or soon enough, the door of my room is sufficient for me. Just wasting time and money if not sealed imo

Don't take my word for it, but I would buy:

-1 half sheet of 1/4 plywood (4x4') + a few strips of lumber (one 8' 2x4 cut in half, etc) to reinforce the panel from flexing. Maybe some paint to seal it from moisture.

-Some eye hooks and ratcheting straps to hang & raise/lower it. Screw them into the boards.

- A cheap\free extension cord to strip for wiring, or a roll of lamp wire. Also some extra electrical odds and ends, like switches/wire nuts/crimps/plug end/etc. Various screws..

- 5x 10 packs of cheap (they were $5-6 for 10 pks at some point before supply chain issues, probably double price now?) Chinese e27/26 lamp base sockets from ebay ( the plastic white ones with fake spray painted copper paint on the terminals, and not UL listed, but good enough for lower wattage LED bulbs to screw into)

-13x 4 packs of 100 watt equivalent (13-15.5 actual watts per bulb usually) household LED bulbs from walmart. A mix of daylight and warm white. $8-11 per box depending on the spectrum, more for the daylights.




Then, I would spread out the base sockets in rows, making them equal distances from each other, and attach them to the bottom of the plywood panel. Probably 48 of them. I would wire the sockets up in parallel, and make it so I could switch off some of the rows for half power/full power with the flip of a switch.

Then, screw in 48 of household LED bulbs into the base sockets.

I would be happy I spent less than $200 on a true 650-750 watt LED light fixture, and use the money I saved on other equipment, like a chiller or automated c02 controller or something. I would be humble about it though, and not dog on the guys that spent way more for their fancy looking fixtures of the same wattage that the LEDS can't even be replaced and run 50% brightness after 5-10 years, lol.

Last but not least, I would train a perfectly flat canopy in a scrog net, filling the 5x5 tent wall to wall with bud sites, and hit around 1.5 grams per watt (2 lb + easy) at harvest.

Maybe sell a lb and buy a new commercial fixture, but why when I could build 4 more screw in LED fixtures for the price of 1?
