Which light??

do you think with my 3x3 veg box i should run a 400MH for 6 plants? then two 600 hps for those 6 plants in flower? seems like a damn good ratio

yeah good to go if u have a good hood u can vent the heat completely out of the tent from the bulb. a 400mh would light it perfectly even a 250mh for veg would work pretty awesome in a 3x3 box.

lol/ i know the feeling bro. finally getting my perpetual grow set up to its full potential. i have been dry for the last like 4 months getting everything all set up. had to save and buy equipement here and there. felt like a fuckin retard buying weed from the dispensories when i had so much potential at home. lmao. in about a month ill never have to pay for weed again. unless i move or something but then ill just plan ahead and bang out 8oz before i shut down.

yeah bro the 250 will do wonders in there trust me. just put them as close together as possible directly under the light. and when ur clones are rooted u can keep them in party cups for 2 weeks sometimes longer before putting them in bigger pots.i normally transplant them to 1 gallons after 2 weeks or so. just make sure ur party cups have holes drilled into the bottom for drainage.

ur 250 is equal if not more in lumens than my whole cfl veg box put together. im rockin 300 plus watts in that bitch and u got me beat. lol. sadly i think she is going to be retired in the next 2 or three days. she has put up a beast of a fight. i might possibly use it for males and pollination of females. get me some beans. oh yeah if u plan on doing and breeding u may want to put a smaller box together with a few 27k cfls in it or something or even a 150hps would work. male pot plants need way less light than females do when in flower. way less light. in fact u can flower a male plant thats 3 ft tall with only 2 cfls. i know ive seen it done. never tried it myself tho but have a buddy that does it literally 4 or 5 times a year for more seeds. he does the 12/12 from seed thing.

haha rite? i to feel like a dumbass paying so much for something so simple, the dispensaries here are maddd expensive and u cant have more than a zone but i can have 6 in veg 6 in flower no problem haha. kind of a bad ratio for what you can possess lol but its all gonna come out real nice. Ive been able to smoke here an there but all my money as been towards the set up ive dropped a few grand at least on all my materials ive acquired over time. I still need to get out an pick up a few bags of soil tho so i can transplant. What ive been using for veg is these small 6" wide pots, they get to about a foot before i need to transplant them an i usually transplant into 5 gals, but what i want to start doing is the red cups, then 1 gallons for veg, then 3 gals for flower. ill have more space that way. Unfortunately the home depot near me only carry's 2 and 5 gal jugs, which is rite in between what im looking for. im hoping that lowes will carry the right sized buckets, im sure they do tho. I also need to get some damn carbon filters caus its startin to stink an my gf for some reason doesnt like the plant smell idk.
i always make sure i got some drain holes drilled, i spent a minute yesterday drilling out the four 5 gal buckets i bought, i just need to find a tray of some sort to put underneath, or a towel or something for the water to drain into

damnn i didnt think my 250 was producing that much power thats whatsup. Ive thought about breeding and what not because it will def be a lot easier and cheaper to do, but i just dont have the space at the moment in my grow room to fit another box. hopefully in the future i can get one goin but for now i godda buy my seeds. Once i get some buds flowin an i got a few oz layin around i could dedicate my flower room to breeding for a month or two and get a bunch of good seeds that will keep me going for a while. Or my other idea is just buy different strains and get my cloning skills up. If i can clone a bunch of plants each time then ill be guaranteed to have females. thats crazy haha a 3 foot tall male under such little lighting? i did not know it was possible, thats whatsup.
imma try an get a pic up before the end of the day of my plants, i got one of em inna 5 gal an the rest inthe 6" pots, i ran out of soil so i couldnt transplant the rest but its all good they still have some grow time left in em. And i made sure there all level under the light, its coming along nice.

how tall do you usually veg yours? i was gonna let mine hit around 15" or so, my last one got to 22 before i ever flowered but messed up an never transplanted so it only got like 38" tall but it was 42" wide which was ridiculous lol

it depends on the strain honestly. i normally veg them in between 1-2 ft. ive got a 1000 in my shed tho so i dont ever have to worry about light penetration. ive vegged as big as 3 ft tall before but only if they are indica plants. they tend to not stretch as much in flower. my sativas r normally vegged to about 2 ft max cuz some will tripple in size once put under the 12/12.

yea true that it all really depends on lighting, space, ect. the strain i have now seems to grow very long bottom fan leaves but i can always prune them if need be.

haha cheaper than u might think. craigslist bro. people in my area are always offloading cool ass weed growing shit. lol. i browse craigs daily for shit. lol. check on craigslist and ebay. its ur best bet to save money. just make sure what ur buying on ebay is from reputable sellers.

it cost me less than my power bill a month. thats for damn sure. lol.

haha i feel you on that, shit ya ur area is like the heart of it all. i never really thought of it but there are a lot of indoor growers out here. the temps are so cold outside if u wanna grow anything its godda be indoor. imma check on craigslist

would the power bill be cheaper if i ran one 1000 instead of two 600s? i found a bunch of cheap 1000s but idk if a 1000 will work with my 3x8 space, two 600s mite be better

two 600s would be better and more cost effective for the amount of lumens u r gonna get. it will be cheaper to run one 1000 but u cut ur lumens almost in half. a 600 is about 90000 lumens in hps a 1000 is about 110000 lumens. the only reason i use the 1000 is for the penetration, cuz my box is 4 feet wide and 6 feet long. i could have used a 600 but i wouldnt have been able to have the light all the way up for the big plants and still be getting the babies that are small and short still. 2 600s is 180000 lumens and with the way ur gonna run ur setup i think the 6s is ur best bet. its what i honestly would do.

in otherwords if u have 4 plants and two 600s ur deviding 2 plants with 90000 lumens and the other two withe the same. if u rocked a 1000 u would have only 110000 lumens being divided up by 4 plants. the two outside plants wont yield as much and would probably be a bit smaller. but not by a ton. two 600s will give u crazy dense bud in ur flower area cuz of its size.

thats not how he is wanting to run his setup tho. he wants to have 6 in veg and 6 in flower constantly i believe. its a perpetual of sorts.

vegging is a waste of time. I run two 600's to every 4x4 table 36 plants in one gallon pots get a little under two pounds with 2 weeks tops of veg time.
