a single 288 on a hlg-120 would be plenty for that tent.
I have a single v1 in a 2x3x5 and I cant imagine that space needing more light than that... I have mine turned down to 90w

Hes going big boy style and using 4 120s. It'll be cool to see a ceiling of diodes.
I'd definitely mount the driver outside the tent so you can get as much head room as possible.

The 240 number means that how much watts it can put out to a single qb
or
the total wattage to each board is split among the 240?

Floor to ceiling - 4'8"

Hawaii grower here, if you aren't using an A/C I'd say use 90-130w (4sq.ft) of samsung LM301's or just buy a QB kit, they really don't put out much heat and the required ambient temps work well with hawaii.

Mars Hydro TS 600, TS 1000, SP 150 are pefect for 2x2ft grow area.
