which strains least likely to hermie

Ive been using clones given to me by a friend a few years back and no matter what I did to them how i grew them i never had any hermie problems. When i went on a holiday about a year ago i had to let the mother die and started ordering seeds online. This is where the problem i ordered thc bomb and they hermied, then i ordered great white shark and they hermied. I gave a friend a few beans to try outdoors and they hermied. they were fem seeds but i would like to go to regular now and get a female.

I'm ready to order again and would like a strain (regular seeds) that can handle a little stress. something that would yield big outdoors and as mould resistant as possible.

i'd just say stay away from things like og's, sour d's, trainwreck, chem's, and a few others that are all pretty hermie prone..
thanx for that ive heard northern lights is really hard to hermie. i also have some wide widow regular seeds i could try

Odd, I've run THC bomb and not gotten hermie problems at all.
I have an "original" Chem Dawg (from a cutting I got many years ago) That has not hermied yet ! I still run it too.

A lot of manufacturers produce feminized seeds by intentionally herming plants. They do this because the seeds from such plants will be 100% feminized. Only problem with this is that the new plants will have a higher susceptibility to herming. Look for manufacturers that dont do this

when companies make feminized seeds, they use a chemical such as collodial silver to grow stamen on an otherwise female plant... the chemical does nothing to the dna of the plant, no chemical, no balls..
feminized seeds are just as stable as the parents they come from, same as regular seeds..

That's a very debatable statement. You can find published research on both sides of the argument. In my small circle of growers, we have all made our decisions on our own, as to not using feminized seeds.

It definitely seems to have an influence in my opinion. But I'm no scholar in the field, so my opinion should be taken with a grain of salt as well. Just do a quick Google search, and you will see that I am far from alone with my opinion however.

Hmm,,,,some years ago I dabbled in some in depth breeding.....while I was happy with my results, I didn't have the patience to continue.....I did use several chemical methods of creating Fem seeds......I still use the method today to re-up my seed stock for a cpl of those custom breeds I made (and other priceless strains I run). I have NEVER had an increase in the "Hermie" factor.
If you start with a stable strain,,,,,your seeds will be too.....stability is the factor here in my opinion....I agree with Racer.

Not piss'in on yah Big,,,,just backing up another opinion.

Peace on dude!

Do you think I would safer with something like Northern lights from sensi seeds or nirvana? When people say stable genetics are they talking about these kind of old school strains?
