hi im planing on startin another grow room in a cupbord but have no room for a proper light so woula fluoresent light be ok and the walls are painted white would i still need sheeting up in there????
I have an old hippie friend that currently has 2 plants in just such a setup using T8's and one 65 watt cfl (I should have a pic soon) his nugs are as big as my forearm

It is a bit different to grow with only flouros but it is totaly posible, You simply have to watch how the plant reacts to the light and move it accordingly every day,

Ok I'm here :bigjoint:

For soiless mix I have looked at all the popular ones and IMO the best is Sunshine Mix #4 (what I will be using in my next grow) I am now looking at things to amend it with and will add a report soon

so i should go soiless?

also, whats the best method of watering/nutes in your opinion?

A lot of the simple stuff I have covered in my post and invite every one to read one or all of them (not a lot of threads, but they are long) the links are in my sig and at the very least you should read the calling all noob growers thread, Also I do not buy into any of the myths or hype so not gonna answer how much yield or how to get bigger yield questions

but quickly on the soiless, it is all about total control cause most of em have very limited nutes so ya gotta learn to feed em right and read em

Soil gives you a bit of time (cause there are nutes in it) and even I start seeds in soil then transfer to soiless after 3 or 4 weeks

and I totally explain watering & nutes in the calling noob thread

i have heard rumors that extending the light period to 18 hours a day for the last couple weeks of flowering can help to spped up the finishing procress....do u kno anything about this or could u help me out t all? i just kind of ran into a time crisis and my plant is very close to done but not sure if it will be finished by the 30th of this month.

Although i do sympathise with ur situation..

no the way to finish faster is to start doing 8/8 instead of 12/12

because there are 3 8's in a day you speed up 1/3 a day each day so every 3 days is actually 4 to the plant and you gain 2 days a week this way

I got a dwc with a couple 5 gallon buckets tubed togeather and a rez. I keep getting leaks from the fittings I had to install in the buckets and rez to connect the hoses to. What would you recomend putting around the fittings to stop the leak?

Hi guys,
I have been doing some experimenting with lights. I have been trying to find information on whether using different lights with LED's is beneficial or harmful? Does the white light from floro's diminish the reds and oranges of LED's? Or, does the added wattage benefit the grow? Any info would be great.

Just put "question" in sub line so I know who Im talking to. Thank you for your time...Ken

Ok kid first you need to understand that you should not post your email address here I advise deleteing it by editing your post

then you need to understand that no one here is gonna email you

They will not interfere with each other mixed spectrum is a good thing

the PAR of the lights is much more important than the wattage or lumens there is a real good ditty on understanding the PAR of lights in my Calling All Noob Growers thread (page 4 I think)
