thks.i came to this page every day.You lots r so clued up.i'm a new grower (but u know this) andi have 5 plants and all different.are they all ok under 1 light??its a 200w cfl 6500k and i have a 400w hps but not on.??

You probably want to get the humidity up, 50-60 percent would be good. may need a humidifier. I don't think that in itself is the cause of your problems germinating any seeds.

Definately want to get the timer figured out. You want the lights coming on and going of the same time every day or you will cause major stress on the seedlings also.
thank you very much for your advice. ive been havin really shitty luck for some reason. i had a bunch of seeds from attitude also. now i have a couple of seeds (9bagseeds and a lemon skunk feminized)im soaking in water for 4 hours and planting from seed tonight. im gonna start them off with a humidity dome overtop under some 6500k CFLs. see if i have any better luck with that. once they grow till about 2inch ill put them under my 600w MH....

You are experiencing a Calcium/Magnesium Lockout due to potassium building up
in your coco. this is in large part due to you not pushing enough water through the
coco. Coco holds on to a lot of potassium, and this will cause a lockout if you do not
are not properly leeching while feeding.

You also want to have proper aeration while the nutes are hitting the coco/soil.
Here is what it should look like :-)

It totally depends on how you plan to grow?

The movie I grow chronic shows how to set up for hydro
and jorge has a movie that shows how to build a grow room inside a room

hard to tell you what you need without knowing what your plans are?

How "straight" did ya need it to be???

I do 6400K Fluoros for Veg, 3000K Metal Halides for Flower, works great, and I
don't need to burn nasty HPS'

BTW, when I feed my mothers, which are currently in 11 Liter pots (3 Gallons)
they receive 8 Liters (2 gallons) of water every feeding. And it gives me about
40% run-off which is just how I like it, a nice solid Drain to Waste.

some might say it was normal , but IMO it would never be normal 8 days into flowering

we really need pics and more info about your garden, temp, humidity, nutes, soil/medium etc
without em we would just be guessing and that won't help you

and it can take anywhere from 5 days to 3 weeks to show sex

watering every 18 hours would be a very bad thing unless your plant is over 4 feet tall (when they are big they can go thru water pretty fast)

You should only be watering when they need it

you need 10 post to be able to add pic's and pic's would help us help you so my advice is get your post count up so you can upload some pic's

Hey riddleme, I am about to transplant one of my Blackjack plants into a larger pot, but I just wanted to confirm that its female before I do. These are the little nubs from which the pistils will come out, yeah?

I'm doing my first grow and I'm hoping I could get some noob questions answered:

I put a small heater fan in my growroom and have the temp at 77 degrees F but the humidity is in the low 40%. Do I need to put a bowl of water or something in there to increase humidity? Also, do I need to put another small (cool) fan in there or will the warm air be enough ventilation?

as long as you keep the temp at 77, 40% humidity is ok (gives an index of 78.2)

as long as the temps are under control and they are getting fresh air your probably ok with the heater fan

as soon as you get your post count up come back and show us some pic's
