So I'm thinking that this is either a little bit of nute burn or a Potassium (K) imbalance... Or maybe even a Magnesium (Mg) imbalance??? I'm leaning more towards the first 2, but thought I'd stop on by here and get a few other opinions before I do anything. So, what are your guys thought on the situation? and what I might do to solve it?

I've been looking around and now just want to get some other thoughts before I take any actions.

Thanks for any help, it's MUCH appreciated!

Some details:
~Strain: Purple Napalm
~Soilless mix
~MG Nutes 24-8-16, feed every other watering
~x8, 6500K, 26W CFL's, 18/6
~82 degrees lights on, 70 lights off
~Water only when soil is dry
~Plant has been in soil for about 3 weeks now, was just a massivally rooted cutting waiting for somewhere to go when I got it.

Haven't had many problems with my plants before, so just tryin to figure this out. I have another plant of this same strain as this at the same age and it's showing no problems what so ever, so I'm just wondering why this one in particular is.
Looks like possible pottasium def...not TOO sure though...what concentration are your nute??? and you should probably look into better fertilizer, I've used MG all purpose and I don't really have anything good to say about it!

Hi.. I am a newbie..just wondering if you have any ideas about harvesting and storing pollen for seeding. Ive heard that you can actually spread it on the buds you want to fertilize to get seeds, and the rest of the plant will still be kick-azz.

You are correct, just harvest some ripe pollen from a male or hermi plant and store in a small air tight container or sealed bag, and when your female is ready to be pollinated you can get a small paint brush, dip it in the pollen and gently brush the desired calyxes...

Hey, first off I don't know anything about growing, but I was wonderig about something. I have these five plants in three pots. There are two in two of the pots and one in the other. Now they're a foot high or so, and I just got them. I'm planning on planting them down in a river. Where would an ideal place be to plant them? Also, it's a nasty hike down, so could I use the river to water my plants without me having to go down their all of the time?

You would probably want to seperate the plants in the same pot ASAP, it'll be hell though, as their roots are probably tangled by now...and I don't think the river will be able to provide the essential nutrients needed for quality bud growth...but if you really can't go down there often, there's probably a wireless water pump out there somewhere...but IDK

Okay.. i need some creative advice.. I have a baby on the way and of course that means family in the house. My grow area is not sealed at the moment and i don't have the means to do so any time soon. In 2 weeks i have family coming over to help get the house in order and there is a bit of a smell in my downstairs. On top of that you can see the light from where i have my plants..

What are the consequences of transporting plants that are in flowering? (aside from the obvious of getting caught with them) Would it screw them up if they missed a day of light? My only in house option of hiding them is to move them to the top of my garage, which in the summer, gets VERY hot. would it kill them to have them in the heat for a day?

Hey how is everybody doing.

I am in the process of attempting to grow for the first time. I have pretty much read up on everything I need to know for now. This question usually never gets a straight answer from all that I have read just a bunch of aggravation. I KNOW EVERYONE asks this question but I am going to give you all the details so I can get an actual answer. I have a 65-Watt 6500K Fluorescent Lamp see link (http://www.lowes.com/pd_57889-75774-PLF65/65_4294935558_4294937087?ipTrail=174.101.237.92&catalogId=10051&catalogId=10051&productId=3220087&pl=1&selectedLocalStoreBeanArray=[com.lowes.commerce.storelocator.beans.LocatorStoreBean@76a357ea]&currentURL=/pl_Light+Bulbs_4294935558_4294937087_?rpp=30$No=120$Ns=p_product_price|0&storeNumber=1900&langId=-1&langId=-1&Ns=p_product_price|0&errorURL=UserAccountView&storeId=10151&storeId=10151) (yes I am aware of the mogul base thanks if you were concerned) and since this will be my first growing experience I will only be doing one plant and it will just be a bag seed. My questions are is this enough for my one plant, how hot does this bulb get, and when should I put the light on it as soon as it sprouts or what?

Thanks in advance for any help or ideas.

I would get 2 more 65 watters, they wont get to hot nothing to worry about, and you should put the light on as soon as the plant pops out of the soil

Hey guys, I've done a lot of research and found a ton of useful information but one thing I hadn't found was if I should run the lights when I first plant the seed. My seeds have germinated and I planted them in the dirt, but should the lights be on now or should I wait until the sprout through the soil?

Hey Fred, welcome to RIU. The 6500K will be good for veg, but you will need some of the 2700K spectrum for flower. Lowes sells a 65w 2700K in the lightbulb section that has a standard base and built in ballast for $16.98. I actualy run 184w of mixed 6500/2700 at a 50/50 mix and they do really well. As for putting the light on em. You will need light but I would keep em approx 8" from the bulb. They do not need that much lumens to start.

Hope it helped

Peace
