Why are my leaves curling upward? I've done the defficiency checklists. Didn't help.

Ok so I have four very good looking babies. One of them is real dark green and the leaves are curling upwards on the edges. Recently had some issues with temperature but not too bad. a couple of the leaves have a few yellow spots on them as well. Any suggestions?

seeing as you are new, its okay to ask, thats how we all learn...

but go ahead and take it from me first... so you know for future reference... without details on setup of nutrients, lighting, i.e. how you have cared for your plant in detail etc... or even a pic of the plant it will be next to impossible for anyone to diagnose your plant accurately...

[FONT=&quot]However, if they are babies as in 4 wks old or younger then they usually wont have this deficiency which is characteristic of a Mg Magnesium deficiency, where the lower leaves yellow and may even turn white while veins remain dark green, and the blades die and curl upward...

but that was just a simple presumption on you post of curling upwards part... so post a pic and you may get much better diagnosis from the wide range of experienced growers on RIU...

i would have to say heat stress cause it looks okay for now... and since you have it in a Hydro setup then an average balance for most growers i would say keep their pH anywhere from 5.8-6.6 is where you wanna be and also keep your water well oxygenated...

other than that keep it up its lookin good so far

heat stress...and what is your humidity? veg should be 60%+.

what size light and how far away is it?

I'm usin a 1000w mh. its like 1.5 to 2 ft away from the plants. i'm on a 24/0 lighting cycle. ph is currently at 6.0. humidity is low. lookin at like 33%. any suggestions on raising the humidity? I have 4 plants total. thats the only one i'm really having any trouble with. atleast that i know of.

plant needs to rest/ dark period 18/6 this is probably why they are curling up ie...heat stress
ph should be 5.8 humidity needs to go up! to at least 60% misting helps right before lights come on...do not mist with lights on will hurt them from the intense light! damp towels in the room may help too

I have six Hindu Kush plants and a few had the same problem. It was within the first few weeks. They are six weeks now and looking pretty decent.

I've been thinkin about switching to 18/6. I already have a wet towel in my grow tent. Helps for a little while still no where near 60% humidity. I need a humidifier or a vaporizer. I have also strted a thread to follow the whole grow cycle. Just uploaded a video of my plants as well as some pics. Will be updating regularly. Thanks again and Happy growing!!!

can you put a bucket of water with air stone in it , in the room with plants may help raise humidity til you get something better later on, but for now will def help.

plants do need a dark period i would switch to 18/6 immediately best for your bitches! or you will run into problems soon if not...peace
