Why clear alcohol for tincture?

TY. The fat somehow blocks the liver from absorption and the thc heads straight
to the ... is it blood brain barrier?... or something. Yes, I'd read that recently. And
until i'd read that, and what you're saying, i'd thot that alcohol would speed
absorption. The five tincs that i have tried so far, were all oil based. Also I have
to look up MCT oil, which I think from what i've read is coconut oil, avacado,
and other oils. From what I understand MCT is an inclusive term for those
kinds of oils. But i'm guessing here...and just about everywhere. Part of the prob
for me is that i have to extract these oils and tincs with NO ODOR. And there
are other probs I have too. Decarbing is another, and decarbing a shatter into
a tincture is another. Boy if i could just purchase a decent, proven, tincture,
i really wouldn't bother with all this science and chemistry. I am not geared
for it mentally. It takes a certain IQ that i do not possess.

Eat it. Cold little chips. Did i see you on reddit today asking about dark vs clear liquor making edibles?
Sorry for late reply. I don't know, I kind of doubt i asked about dark v. clear liquor, altho i've looked
in reddit a lot, so i'm not 100% sure it wasn't me.

I recommend the cold wash tincture. Freeze your decarbed weed and 190 proof everclear overnight. Mix together and shake it, let it soak for 20 minutes, strain it. I do a couple of washes like that then let it evaporate down to a third of what it was. Makes a potent, mild tasting amber tincture. You most definitely need CLEAR, very pure alcohol for this method, anything less than 190 proof won't work as well. Using less pure alcohol means a longer soak time and a foul tasting tincture . I've tried a long soak tincture, nasty tasting, try the cold wash I think you'll like it much better.
