Why did my first grow fail

The first time i tried to grow the herb it was in a rubbermaid tote with some big bud seeds... i got the seeds to sprout and stuff ... i had a 200watt farmer grow light that i had used for previous projects(breeding snakes) and i watered them every two days... when i looked in the tote three days after sprouting were the plants hanging over the pot as brown as a damn brown crayon:cry:... I cried... I used miracle grow potting mix to start them.. but any suggestions as to improve this...

can you give me some advice man cuz i watched the ready set grow vids and stuff but i really didnt find something to help My situation with the ultimate discrete grow box.. ie the rubbermaid tote... any thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated

you cant grow pot with a heat lamp, as you have just experienced, what were the temps like

no thank you after i was put in the hospital from almost getting strangled from my 9ft. albino burmese (she was the sweetest thing ... too bad) i quit the reptile business

ouch! thats about 20 degrees too hot man! put it this way, you sit under that kind of heat and tell me how you start feeling after 15min., now imagine hours...:o

so get a proper light, i would personally stay away from miracle grow but thats up to you, and remember, DONT WATER WHEN YOU WANT, WATER WHEN THEY WANT IT! Good luck

would cool watt florecents work??? because i got a 13inch 20watt cool watt that i was gonna use for my mushroom project but... i can put that on hold for a while:blsmoke:

Not too experienced with those, but they should be good for some of the vegetative growth. I would go with something more intense, but that's just me.

did you go out and buy your snake without reading up on how to take care and proper feeding ect....? grow FAQ research

i got a bunch of puppies and they all died can someone tell me how to get them to live???

what type of light would be suitable to use that doesnt get really hot but maybe warm during veg. stage... and what strain would you recommend that will be VERY short but have a good / potent yield....

and to answer the question about snakes... i was into herpetology ever since 7th grade and that is when i got the the albino burmese as a baby..

bad example 90* not so hot..... i used to play ball from noon to nightfall everyday in the summer. but still good advice ditch the heat lamp. pick up sum cfls

just like learning about reptiles, read up its all here ,do some digging and keep asking .I'm not trying to discourage you only help you look in the right direction .read up on lights in the grow FAQ section ,its so full of great advice afterwards if or if there are things you don't understand, because there will be I'm still reading over questions posted almost every day trying to improve. take the time to learn and get back to it

was you that dude i saw on that tv show....damn that snake really did a number on yo ass...i just knew it i told my girl look look that snake is eyeing him up, then that was it he got yo ass...damn man are you OK?

oh yea no heat lamps, get some cfls or a hps lights...whats good for your snakes is not good for your weeds..

When you're playing ball, you're normally running around right? So I'm assuming you get some wind on you right? Maybe even have some water right? Maybe? Where I'm from, the if the temp is 90 degrees around noon, it normally drops some by the time it's nightfall, but maybe it's just normal around here... :roll:
