Ok guys, I got some blackberry kush that have been Mg deficient for a while now and I can not figure it out. I just moved to a brand new area and am unsure of the water quality, it's in the mountains so I figured it would be better than in town but I'm not too sure. All I know is that the ppm is about 230. I also have new cuttings and small potted clones someone gave me and within 24 hours of me watering them they stems have gone purple and they are starting to go downhill as well. I ph to 6.0-6.5 every watering. I had them vegging in 7 gals filled with vermifire for about 4 weeks without feeding as I was told this soil was "hot" with nutes. They have only been fed twice with botanicare line at suggested increments on the label. I fed cal/mg the last 2 feedings and have not seen much if any improvement. Do I need an r/o filter? Is there too much CA locking out Mg?? I don't know what to do, tried foliar spray with MgSO[SUB]4[/SUB] (mag sulfate). May have over watered once but it just has not gotten better!!! Any help greatly appreciated guys.

It's not a science buddy, just got to find what works for you. Me I feed/feed/feed/feed/ my clones till they ask for water, which isn't very often, and your PH for soil is off. Here again I don't PH my water anymore because it's a perfect 6.7...but soil needs to be between 6.5 & 7.0. Just try mixing up some 3/4 strength nutes and feed the fuck outa them till there's plenty of runoff, and I add Epsom salts to my nutes about a tablespoon per gallon each feeding... good luck

I don't use to much cal/mg with botanicare and tap water...maybe you might be gettin some toxcicity, flush it out and lay off the cal/mg, ur tap could be super hard water as is

I would wait till they need next watering then flush with H202. I would then leave a couple of days then give feed with good N ratio. Not full feed, gradually build feed back up. I've never heard of Vermifire so not sure what its like. Looks like over watering to me that could have caused nutrient lock out causing issues but no matter the cause that's what I would do now.
