Why does my house still smell Like Marijuana!!

You're suggesting a powered intake, but balanced so there's still negative pressure? I'm learning

Carbon works less well in high humidity, obviously but wondering if water vapor traveling thru the wall and building materials is carrying odor. Paint, drywall, plywood, OSB all allow vapor to pass to some degree. You can glue drywall to plywood and the glue will dry via wicking action, so water vapor is moving. Not sure if odor can be carried
Why does it work in water then... surely if its pulling moisture through it will be just slower and adding to its efficiency? Its ok I know the answer to be fair, you need a bigger fanny mate, its that simple!

Seal the room with something completely impermeable, like panda paper as mentioned avove. Even tho you have neg. pressure and a scrubbikins, you're still blasting every nook and cranny of the room with dank air. Also as said above, consider a different fan/filter rig. Some of these filters just aren't built properly.

Can is a well-respected fan I believe, but I'd start with the filter too, as well as any leaks around duct connections. Are you using insulated ducting, at least in the grow space? I highly recommend it. I saw my regular ducting one night w/ the lights on in the tent and it had more light leaks than a $10 tent. I know light <> odor but I replaced all of mine the next day and the only regret I have is buying the first stuff. Save it for clothes dryers.

Edit: some people use ozone gens at the end of the duct runs but that really should be a last resort after everything else is dialed in, imo.

You'd be moaning on another level or I would be if it were smelling of fuck all man! I grew that Afganni Big Bud... what a load of shite! My vest smells better after been in the cheddar room for 10 minutes man, FUCKING HUGE YIELDS BTW if you want some bulk!!!

Check your ducting for lose tape around connections and things like that.
Something can be causing a venturi effect and pulling unfiltered air into your exhaust duct

Yall are makin my room sound all ghetto lol!
Btw i appreciate all the suggestions, im contemplating and putting some thoughts together.
This Can Filter only has 4 1/2 months use of scrubbing since I've bought it.
Here are some Pics and what drywall mud looks like after its been painted over. Its been 3 days so far with the dehumidifier and it seems as if the smell as decreases actually. Im worried about pulling more air because then i need a bigger dehumidifier? every time i need to adjust something its like dropping $100's!
I Like the idea of double scrubbing the air by adding another Can Filter to filter air that's already in the room before it exists.

Even with that small open space, I get strong airflow from the exhaust outlet.

Wow there is so many ways smell can get out in that set up, would suggest to get a tent or a way bigger filter from what i saw a room like that would require two huge filters.

Why do you need a dehumidifier? When is your humidity too high?

Why not just run your current exhaust fan more? That will solve your humidity issue and your smell issue.

OK.
Yes i'm in flower.
I have a sealed room with a can fan 100 Carbom filter, pulling 420 cfm out of the room and is exhausted strait out of the house. I have a 4"x 4" passive intake into the grow room, negative pressure. Unless there are leaks in the aluminum exhaust ducting ( but that's scrubbed air ) I don't see why my house still smells. does anyone have advice on this, or is this something that just happens?
either no one asked.. or i skipped past it.. but a key thing to ask here, and is very important to know.. how big is this room length, width, height.

with my 6" fan running a similar filter,a profilter 70s.<---LINK.... fan is 440cfm.. i have to run it close to at 90% speed on my fan speed controller to effectively clear my room. at 70% it wasn't effective in flower but was for veg.

i also use a uvonair 3000 o3 generator..<---LINK love it. keep it on a timer,15 minutes on,15 off.. all day long..... and with over 20 plants in bloom...u can't smell shit. i've used this now for 5 years.. wouldn't grow without it. i keep it right in my growroom near the door on a shelf.

my room is roughly 18' x 14' x 10' high... not sealed, just a big bedroom.10k btu window AC unit running tho all the time.

Here is a list of forgotten items on the checklist to seal that most forget;
1.electrical sockets
2.Drywall (PVA) coat will produce a water proof layer.
3. Base of Drywall, small air gaps can be found. Surround venting ducts.
4. Unbalanced pressure, this is the biggest issue with most grow rooms mostly from One fan pull, one fan push. Negative pressure is the key. If you don't have it. The room will push the excess air out of even the smallest of spaces and expand throughout your house.

I'm growing one of the biggest stinkers out there AK 47 and I never shut off my scrubber, plus it looks like your space may be too large for your scubber, you can make another scrubber from a 5 gallon bucket and aquarium charcoal, also helps when humidity is high too.

Ha ha so the mud is basically plaster then lol, or not? Anyway I had an image of an africans 16th century mud hut!
That rooms a beauty mate, good set up just needs some tweaking here and there like anyone elses. I changed mine round 3-4-5 times last grow and improved it every time, made some basic errors but all done on a budget of sweet fuck all using old lamps, borrowed this, stolen that, donated, pawned and second hand gear. I think a great room takes 2-3 grows before its all dialled in unless you have shitpots of cash and and all the time in the world to build the room, backed up by your experience of course! I hate tents personally but its the way forward for indoor I s'pose, keeps things simple and much easier to dial in.

I just did a run using a can-fan 8" 800? ish cfm in a 5 light roomwith 16 super stinky blueberry JH Cheese and it does stink believe me, we had a strain here in the 90's called Exodus Cheese which could overpower most home systems and this is on a level par easily!!!. But basically after stopping the co2 and recircing cos the smell was too bad, I run the duct straigth outside and put the carbon straight above the plants instead of to the side, the smell was all sorted.

I see your filters also sat on its coned end on the floor? It has a detrimental effect to the environment when air is pulled from down below as well as losing efficiency. I remember studying air flow systems a bit at agri-college, but from memory you draw a good deal of the heavier (AND BENEFICIAL) co2 which is harder to push for a smaller fan. This causes a back draft of heavy co2 (odourised in your case possibly) air dropping back into the room effecting the ppms, which for us is ok because we don't inject over 1200ppms for MJ normally but when farms have people inside all day and ppms go up to 5000 lol they can be explaining a few dead illegal immigrants!
I'm like a woman with a party sausage endowed fat fella fucking her, its up top for me every time mate but someones gonna say it doesn't make a difference... the position of fan not the sausage bit

First and foremost, get that filter off the ground. Strap it to the ceiling in that same corner.....i bet you will notice a difference just from this. Is that an interior door or exterior? you will never get an interior door to seal properly. Can you feel the air coming through the passive intake? If your room is tight, you should be able to feel the airflow. A good quick test would be to cover the passive intake, and let the fan run for 5 min......then open the door, you should feel the pressure. No pressure, your room is not even tight, let alone sealed...this means you have a lot of work to do to get have a stealth room.

I don't find AK47 particlarly smelly if im honest? In fact in comparision to a proper c/o exo when it was still the original cut AK47 is a bit of a pussy imo... but maybe theres better pheno nowadays?

Of course, but as I have already said it needs to be in the centre or opposite end of room to his air intake certainly NOT on the floor by a door. The passive hole needs to be low down to the floor as far from your scrubber as possible. I could write a book on my opinions with this and the more past experiences I fall back on the more I see how little we all know about this grow space... so its all kind of shit advice I'm passing onto you really :bigjoint:

I agree with everything you said, but curious as why you say not near the door. I always felt like the door was the weak link in my sealed room, and when i moved my filter there i had less issues with smell. I felt the filter would pull a little air through the door, and keep any from getting out. My intake and exhaust are both fan driven(with dimmers), and on flexible duct, so if i move one, i move the other to the opposite side....complete control.

You jeed a monster ass filter and a small fan for exhaust slow the air down coming thru filter and eliminate the smell. If a super staNk strain then good luck

Aaahh you see I have circumcisional evidence on this...

I had mine near the door and when I went in closing the door behind me it wafted a stinky cloud straight upstairs and it was my Girlfriend at the time who noticed it. I did a smoke bomb test and by far the best result was Inlet/Intake by the door/outlet furthest away but in the closed environment test as in no intake just exhausting the smoke, the most effective placement was top centre. I suppose theres a happy medium somewhere but mine is central top with 2 intakes either end of room. I also bought these sticky zips and made a polythene sealed door for every room entry. £8 and they work very well...

Exodus cheese.. The holy grail of uk weed!

I'd loved to have grown this strain clarky'
The real version was clone only and these seeds called exodus cheese are a poor copy I'm told by seasoned smokers in the know.

I think you're spot on about placing the filter at the top of the room mate.
Warm air rises and warm air hold more moisture.
So a fan at the top of the grow room will remove more heat and moisture than one placed on the floor.
A room with hot moist warm air at the ceiling will be subject to higher temps and higher humidity.
