why is it taking so long?

Well bring it inside where it is dark with no ambeit light no cracks of light and hopefully some ventilation where it is left undisturbed.For instance bring it in at 6:00 P.M. and back outside at 6:00 a.m.Thats 12 hours of light and 12 hours of dark by the 8th or 9th day you should know for sure.
