legal to possess and sell within the country, illegal to import/export per an old treaty that I don’t feel like looking up

Not familiar with the Denver Post but it sounds like some ordinary newspaper... so maybe it's credible.

So apparently you CAN face legal trouble for buying seeds, based on the Denver Post article... but it's uncommon.

Some other website I saw seems to say it's lawful to possess the seeds if you don't grow them, but unlawful to carry them across state lines in the US. Not sure if true.

Just because I'm interested to read about what the US & state law says I'm allowed to do with regard to buying cannabis seeds? I'm not sure why you would jump to the conclusion I'm on the political right based on that. There are many potential reasons why a person would ask such questions, particularly considering how many states have legalized cannabis lately.

In any case, I don't think this is the appropriate forum to discuss my political views and whether they're left-wing, right-wing, centrist, libertarian, or something else... and even if it was acceptable behavior in this forum it's off-topic for this thread anyway... so unless you have more to say on that matter... I'm going back to thinking about weed seeds.

99% of the world is still getting their seeds illegally, and if they have half a brain they get them sent to a safe address. But for the 1% that is legal why would you even worry?

I remember going to the hydro store and scoping out the parking lot in case there were cops watching before going inside. We'd often park around the corner but looking back I don't see how that would have made any difference. I must have looked funny walking out and around the corner down the sidewalk with a 50L bag of hydroton. Chances are we were just being paranoid and the cops were down at the donut shop and didn't give a damn.

There was a time were LEA would sit outside or not to far from hydro shops an follow people back to were they went. An shortly after hit the door off. Things are beginning to change an even the attitudes of LEO.

I can't imagine simply seeing people leaving a hydro store would be sufficient to get them a search warrant...

Even if you bought a bunch of grow lights there.. some people seriously just buy grow lights to get entirely legal plants started early indoors to transplant to their garden to get a jump-start on the growing season. There's also probably some % of people who want to grow legal flowers indoors.

Check out some of the green merchant opp busts. Hydro store owners stock was even being confiscated, millions of dollars worth of equipment taken an things being smashed up. Things weren't good at one time.

It's not, let alone a no-knock warrant where they bust the door down lol. If that actually happened there would be quite a lawsuit and anything confiscated in that illegal search wouldn't be admissible as evidence.

Noticed people arnt to bothered about buying seeds online just wondering what sites best please ?

First piece of advice as a guy who started out with dwc, go with soil and dry amendments. It will save you a ton of headache. I usually use northatlanticseed.com or seedsherenow.com I’d recommend them if you’re in the US.

HUH! in illegal states if leo knocks on ya door an smells weed guess what! they are coming in dont need no dog.The smell gives them probable cause what planet you live on? All leo has to say is they got a 911 hangup.
