TRUE!! Once again BLESS UR HEART BRO..cuz this type of knowledge is kept like secrets of the skull n bonez clubs lol its crazy how much IGNORANT info it is about growing..but im in a HI hot and dry weather being in the southwest area..so i wanna grow a strain that thrives in this type weather..and i heard a very long time ago...TIME helps lol so im ready to be PATIENT lol and ur grow is TRUELY inspiring bro..Its like my NEWS now lol we need a TIGHTER MORE CERTIFIED online club for us pros n rookies and novice alike..i believe knowledge should be free to those who truely wanna learn positive from it..
Biggest thing is.. just try things and do what works for you. I have done 4-5 different grow methods, probably every nutrient in the store as well. I now have a method that works well for me, a bit more work but I like the flexibility with buckets and individuality of the res's. I have my method and nutes down to where I have to do the routine and thats it, as I am confident my plants are growing as expected. I used to have to check on them hourly to see if they were getting better, or getting worse etc. You will get there too, and when you do then it's blissful to grow.

As I stated before I do many things people frown upon, but "I" have great results doing them and continue to do so until they don't produce the results. I mean just because someone says one thing (me included) doesn't mean it's the right way for you or the right way period. I am no plant expert I can only go on, what I do and how the plant reacts. That right there is enough for me to diagnose, and come to my own conclusions on what is the best method or ways to grow for me.

I have come a long way as well, I can remember thinking I was doomed to fail but I was just going on what people told me. More then half was incorrect or partially correct etc, but then I started thinking outside the box, documenting and watching my plants. It has turned into more of a hobby, and I really believe the "BEST" growers are the ones who truly enjoy the grow not just the medicine they produce. It has been a cool and interesting journey that I never thought I would be embarking on years ago, but you know what... I would do it again in an instant, maybe even if I was not legal. Luckily in my state I am legal and abide by the laws to the best of my knowledge, and I know I haven't a real clue on the laws. I do treat my grows and medicine like I was illegal though, and I think that is the second best advice I can give the less that know the better! Only one person knows I grow, and its my wife and if I could keep it from her I would too LOL.

Ahem...and the state you registered in.

to think the feds cannot get these lists and kick down your door is absurd.

Remember...registration is the first step towards confiscation.

I do agree on your thoughts of growing, the best part of my day comes when I leave my normal job and begin my 2nd job/hobby more of since I don't make money...and glad to see I'm not the only newb questioning his place and if he has what it takes. You turned out a good grower so this gives me confidence ill do the same.

Not sure I am not understanding where you are heading with this, but yes posting on any internet forum can be easily traced and my card verified or tested. I am not worried about that, as if they read my posts and comments they can deduce that I am not like the other 95% here growing illegal to try to turn into the next Ms. Botwin (Weeds). If they do then, well I have all my paperwork and postings per the law of my state, and we can head down that road if need be. I welcome them anytime, there are no ziplock baggies, pounds of weed, scales, mountains of cash etc... it's a home a happy, common sense, loving home not a drug house. I do have some guns, all legal and registered as well as a CCW obviously not anywhere near my room.

I guess I am not your typical grower though at least what I can deduce from here, I take showers, brush my teeth, clean my house/grow room regularly and any other out of the norm stoner traits I hear regularly. We have numerous "non-smoking" people over, and they would never EVER guess that I have what I have in my grow room.

I mean I am thankful I can grow "legally" per my state, and I try not to cry or cause too much ripples. All these rule breakers and benders will get the laws revoked, because of the ole' saying "Give them an inch, they will take a foot" its happening in Cali, Colorado, MI and other states legal. Then they cry like they are the ones being shafted, NO you idiots are killing the law I am thankful for and hope to keep, but as I watch the protests and the people there showing up its a sad joke. I know there are many others like me that feel the same way and I would in an instant join that movement, but the movement I see now is taking one step forward 5 steps backward.

Even my smoking friends think I still buy this great weed I share, because "my friend" knows how to grow. LOL. I mean you hear time and time again, of legal growers crying on here that they were "wronged" or being harrassed. Well I am no rocket science and by the posts you see, well I told my ex-girlfriend, my best of best-est friends only knows and he won't tell anyone, you seem cool here is a joint I grow em, call me if you need more or any other stupid shit they put in the post then cry like they did nothing wrong. It's funny.

I agree with ya there BBC. NORML strongly advises protesting and holding movements, because 99% of people who will show up to those things are the typical smelly grungy hippy (sorry if this offends anyone, but i went down to a local rally that my city had and it was like hippy fests.) We live in a professional world these days, what is needed is some sensible patients in suits and ties to lobby our politicians. Might sound like a grind, but its a grind that has worked for many other things.

Exactly.. I never went but follow the readings and pictures. People flipping people off, smoking blowing smoke on people, smelly and goes on. It doesn't have to be even suit and tie, just average citizens that want their rights to grow their own meds, simple. I mean if approached the right way, its a win/win not a lose/win (people/government), I mean I see dashikis and tie dye and crazy hats etc... what is that doing but making you look like clowns and typical dumb stoners.

I have a masters degree, my wife has a bachelors we make plenty and can buy our medicine anywhere, but I choose to control what I smoke and how its grown for my ailements. I went to a farmers market like I said earlier, I wouldn't take their meds if they offered em free. They look like they are homeless, no showers, washing machines, tooth brushes yet they want to sell me some meds. Haha if they cant take care of themselves how are they taking care of their grow ops and plants? Seriously.

Thanks man +rep to you for stopping by... Yes the Chemdawg has me very excited. Have not heard one bad thing about CD and tons of praises so I bought a bean last order and its getting huge at 20+ days! SBR is a nice strain the last harvest I think I did not let go long enough but this one is right on track. The clones of the chemdag are getting HUGE already, I think me dropping my veg nutes is working better then I expected.

Pics soon...

nice grow, getting into DWC from soil. gonna keep track of your grow, keep pics coming
Well ask and you shall receive... here is a photo's from the cell phone again, someday I am going to find a used SLR Nikon or Cannon.. bah.. never enough time too many hobbies. Ok well onto the post:

Bubblegum few more weeks maybe less I hope but I am not going to harvest until they are swollen and receding, they are bigger in height then a 16oz bottle just a bit tiny then the bottle in girth and there are 5 of these on this bad boy:

bg_02.jpg

while we are on the Bubblegum, I want to go over my defoliating the plant here, as I have read over the numerous days people mindlessly saying to other users "oh what the @!&@)( don't do that.. that's their food!" Blah blah blah... You know what I defoliate twice during flower and the plants are just as big, plump and juicy as not doing it. Wha? Did someone tell me that and I blindly take his word of it like the troll minions shouting the "don't defoliate" chant? No, I ran two identical plants and did one and not the other, both plants were same size, same growth rate etc.. actually the defoliated plant buds were bigger, more resin, and definitely more solid then the other plant. Welp.. sorry to burst many peoples bubble, but this works for me and works well.

Here is my defoliated plant shot:

bg_ex01.jpg bg_ex02.jpg

See I don't butcher the plant, I just remove leaves that block light, or attached to main branch and not directly to bud sites. It's really common sense, and the plants love it as the buds get air movement, light and room to stretch and plump. If you want to lecture me about the bad things about this procedure, well then save your keys as I do not want to hear it. This WORKS FOR ME, I could care less about what you heard from so-so an "expert" grower. End of rant.

Blue Cheese hitting mid forties looking dense as @!*&@!(*&.. I have never seen slabs of granite buds like this, I want to squeeze them so hard to see how hard they are. I have applied some pressure and they are like stones! Not sure.. buds are peeking out hairs but seems they are swollen first then pop hairs.. weird.

bc_01.jpg

another BC bud shot of the nugs of granite lol:

bc_02.jpg

This SageNSour is impressing the hell out of me as far as bud production and growth rate, this thing is not 30 days old and the buds are all over and popping up nice and plump. I almost didn't clone it, but I snagged one that rooted and is taking off now in cloner.

sns_01.jpg

Here are my two baby Chemdawg in Veg that are just growing so fast, I had to top em to slow it down. These things were 3" from clones about 12 days ago.. sick.

cd_01.jpgcd_02.jpg

Here is my Headband 818 that I am waiting to get into flower.. see the defoliating and popping already in veg? Yea it works too.. *gasp*

818_01.jpg

BlackJack and Sharksbreath went into flower this past week, so I need the other plants to FINISH! LOL. Anway here is a parting shot baby:

I trim the same way, my FCJ just got another trimming today as its bushing out badly. Trimmed everything that was covering bud sites that I couldn't tuck back. And just under growth that wasn't visible from above. I could have left it, but I also want to create room for air to flow. I trim all the bud sites lower than the canopy and now it has nodes all perking out. So heres a newbie cutting branches and fan leaves out and the plant is loving all this new room. There's still plenty of fan leafs to make sugars and transpire through.

I'm having fun making the plant look how I want it to.

BigBuddah, do you have any exp with chiesel? Currently growing it and I'm in week 7 of flower however it doesn't have a smell. Is this common with this strain?

No but from what I read is that terpenes that produce smell, flavour, taste etc... Come on the last few weeks so be patient. Read Zeus take on harvesting in harvest section kinda opened my eyes.

Ya no my 12 day old is like nine inches tall... Seems like most time I veg it takes few weeks to get where these chems are.. I really think the dynagro was too strong at veg ... I'm at 400ish now and plants growing twice as fast as at 650ppm.
