I was thinking of a design for scrog buckets thats not like drgreentms setup cause he's limited to having the plants in a box to hold the screen up.

I was looking at these plant holders and the way they were designed gave me an idea of extending the diameter 200% around the bucket and being supported by these stakes that angle in to the outter perimeter of the bucket around the bucket. This way they are essentially an extension of the bucket and fastened to the lid. This would be sturdy and would allow for lifting of the lids to do typical maintenance/readings.

I wish I had a welder.
++ rep for this one firsttimeARE. It seems similiar to this video I have seen with dwc tomatoes and builing a treluse into the lid. could probly solder the wire together.

Yes that would work for me with a 3'x3' or so screen at the top. It would have to be able to move up with the lid and the plant so if need be I can change out bucket or just check/add water.

I going to build one of these, or something close to it.
Yes I have seen that too, I just need something like that for 2.5 gallon buckets. I haven't spent too much time on trying to find a way to do it, imagine it wouldn't be too difficult but I like the PVC and netting there.

If I was that guy I would added an access/visual hole that can be capped for adding water or just looking in for water level.

Whoa I fell off the first page so either DWC forums are rocking or I am not posting enough in my own thread.

So here is a bonus harvest shots of my Sugar Black Rose (SBR).

I did harvest the last SBR early so I let this one run until I thought it was done. This one had a golden tinge and the leaves were all yellow, look back at the last shots of my SBR that is the one I am documenting now. This plant was about 3.5 feet tall nice generous rock solid buds, I kid you not each one weighs about 1 gram to 2.9 grams each.. and there is a lot of em just solid as a semi-erect man dong. Wow where did that come from.. lol shit I am obviously sampling a bit early on this stuff and its more tasty and potent even this early stage. I obviously didn't let my last plant run enough time as this one was a totaly different looking plant at the end then when I harvested last time.

Now I dried this for 2 days in my 4 day dryer that rocks search the forums its awesome, then I bagged them for a day in paper bags moisture them out and then back in dryer for day. NOW in the glass jars, now these are a bit more wet then usual as I am again trying something new. I want to like simmer these buds in glass with higher then normal humidity but not much around 70% now and easily downing them per few hours over next days to let them "stink it up throughout" the bud.

I usually dried for 4 days in bud dryer then pop them into jars with hygrometers and monitor the relative humidity(RH) to stabilize at 55-60% RH. Usually pretty close by the end of the 4 days in dryer, and just burp them couple times next day or two. I think I am gonna try for a burnable more sticky moisture bud here, not sure if I know what I am looking for but I am going to try it out.

Here is the jars now slowly simmmer burping lol. (sorry android phone pics)

IMAG0025.jpg

Some nugs each are rock solid and gram or better most nearing 2+ very nice yields almost as good as bubblegum.

Looks Great! You can really cut down and dry to finish in 4 days? Some people they have had to wait a week if not longer and i was kind of disappointed but 4 days is better.

4 days till jarring.. that's around 60ish RH inside the jars so burping takes place until it gets to 58-60RH. You can smoke em at 4 days but couple weeks in jars burping brings em up to par. Then they sit in jars till ready curing, so no not really 4 days but it beats the 7-10 I use to dry em at, with absolutely no compromise with taste, smoke etc.

Good Sunday, now that RIU paid their domain bill (I think I've seen it all) we can try to finish this before something else happens here, lol.

We are gonna go to bud church this morning and take a bud trip around the garden to show you what is what, and when.

First up the BubbleGum that is at about 60 days now and plumping up like a chubby school girl. I can't stress enough about the yields from BG, its a very giving plant. Leaves are all yellow, and just waiting for my golden tinge I have read about. They are almost like a greyish now, which is all cloudy ready to start to turn. Furtherest I ever taken BG and wish I had done it long time ago, sigh.

bg_01.jpgbg_02.jpg

Here is couple of the Agent Orange at 65 days right now. I have the more Satvia pheno so buds are like my Super Lemon Haze, not a great yield but the buds and the smell are amazing. This one is suppose to be the better medicine of the two, but less yield. I am excited it has some weird looking buds like almost flattish in growth. They are covered in resin almost like sugar coating everywhere.

ao_01.jpgao_02.jpg

BlueCheese at 44 days so heavy and dense, its sick. I lift the lid on this 2.5 gallon pot and it takes two hands where all the other strains even the huge AO and SLH can be lifted with one. This is just a fat nug bitch.. I can't wait to see it at finish.

bc_01.jpgbc_02.jpg

Sage and Sour at day 34 just a beautiful plant, the nugs are all the same size and uniform its crazy. It stays low, squatty and bushy with not much stretch I hope the smoke is good as it looks like a definite must run in the garden. Easy to clone, grow and lst.

sns_01.jpgsns_02.jpg

Parting shot of the Hempy bucket Permafrost I have running at 30 some days to see how Hempys run. So far easy as pie, water 2-3 days and they are good. Same hydro mix I run in my buckets, although not the size and growth of the DWC but its a good alternative with out the mess of pumps, air lines etc. Same age as the SageNSour.

pf_01.jpg

Peace next time I probably be harvesting the BubbleGum I see it not having much more then 5-7 days, followed by SLH, AO, BC and BG#2 in the following few weeks.

That AO is a crazy looking plant
Yes there is a lot of buds but none too big, they are all dense and covered just covered in trichs almost I thought it was mold. Nope just sugar goodness. They grow like flat and out from stalk, its weird but if you search AO there are two phenos, one like mine and the other that is more like Jack Herrier. The other has more yield but this one has more sativia kick in the ass but the longer flower time I am told. Sigh.

Looking at the plant it looks like about 3-4 ouches, but a BG plant of this size would bring in about 8 lol.

Yes they are, and hard so they are not big as round wise but they are like flat and heavy, its just weird. I thought I did something wrong or plant was just retarded, but after researching the phenos I have the retarded one lol. Well the not so preferred one, although the smoke is suppose to be a special one. The smell is just crazy good too.

Another reason why I like to run a strain take a clone, and if I like the strain I will keep the clones going. If not then I have had two plants of the same strain and done.

that seems to be a good method, im sure either way you atleast get a good smoke out of the ones you dont claim as keepers, and it only seems right that the special smoke comes from the retarded looking pheno haha

I harvested the Super Lemon Haze before the BubbleGum I will show why with some super close Zorb shots... $30 USB micrscope that can take video and pics pretty cool. Kids love it but it's daddies toy!

Here are the shots of my BubbleGum at 60 days.

bg_01.jpgbg_02.jpgbg_03.jpg

Mostly cloudy with some clear and very few amber. I used to harvest like this or earlier *gasp* yes I was stupid, don't be stupid like me. That was years ago though, I was impatient and didn't consider this a hobby just a way to obtain my own medicine. Trust me.. wait.. then wait some more.. then when you can't wait.. wait... LOL you get the point, the longer the better trust me.

Here is my Super Lemon shots that I did cut down last night, which it surprised me with the yield. I knew it was a big plant but bit wispy and not full, sativas and especially SLH is not the best yield for your bang. By looking at the dryer, I can estimate probably 4 ozs dry.. way more then expected. I kept trimming and trimming.. thinking I could knock it out in a hour or two.. lol. I think I got a buzz from the toxic lemon, I mean I never let my super lemons go this long and damn, it was like ONIONS I swear, my eyes were tearing from lemon scent. I went through three pairs of nitrile gloves, it was soo sticky probably the stickiest I seen in a while. Tip for the newbs get couple pairs of scissors, that way you can have one with the tips in alcohol while still trimming, then when the others get gummed up switch.

slh_01.jpgslh_2.jpg

The amber is more dominate on the bigger buds for this SLH this was a popcorn but you can see the change bit more, this is where you pic up more the aroma and taste, as well as potency. Most people cry oh too much amber blah blah, well you know what myself and others growers secretly know? That there are thousands more trichs you can't see that were probably clear that went milky, while the few you cry about being amber are present.

I think really the CBD amber stuff is kinda of misleading, I think that most strains need more amber to produce the euphoric high many want, and are compromised because of picking early.

Enough rambling, I know it will fall on many deaf ears but I guess that's good for me because "I" know my medicine is better. If I was not running short of space I would have let this one go another week or two, to even get more amber its that pronounced, yet many never see or experience it. The buds need to be "ripe" no matter what strain you grow.

Ok peace...
