Will airy buds get denser if left flowering?

Hi everyone.

I am pretty sure that judging by the trichome photos she is ready to be chopped but there are a lot of airy buds and I'm wondering if I just let her go a little longer would that even matter?

I don't mind bud that makes me more sleepy so more amber isn't a huge deal of I go a week or so longer but if those buds aren't going to get much better than I would rather chop now...

Really dense buds is overrated, imo. Its just an aesthetic. Bag appeal is only important if you're hustling. Some of the best stuff ive ever smoked was super leafy fluffy outdoor, lemon skunk.
For personal use, I could care less about how it looks. These days I dont even trim sugar leaves. LOL

Definitely wait another week before harvesting. :bigjoint:

more days wont make denser buds at this point. thats mostly genetics. high temps can cause airy buds but yours look nice and healthy and well taken care of. I wouldnt sweat it. How she smokes is the real test.
Picking 10-14 days early will 100% guaranty lose airy buds

I was going to decide to let her go another week or so but now I'm noticing the top of the buds have some sugar leaves where the browning from burn or whatever is close to spreading inside the bud. I have been cutting the brown tips but there's too many and they are on the small sugar leaves so it's hard to snip them without causing damage.

Rather than risk it spreading and causing rot in going to chop her in Xmas. Would do it sooner but can't.

Do you guys agree that because of the brown leaf tips it is smart choice to chop?

Can't really tell for sure but kinda seeing something that looks like mold/budrot. Can you take better pics ?
At this point, it's not going to get any better so you need to make the call.

Check your camera settings and try to change the format to a higher resolution if you can. Easier to see when zooming in.

Just chopped last night.

There's almost definitely no bud rot although I can see how it can look like it. I checked thoroughly.

There was definitely a tad bit of brown leaf that was close or just about next to inside of bud but I checked and inside was as pretty as you'd expect..

Just hung up and weather is cold in NYC so easy to get 60f and 65%rh. Hopefully it'll go OK. Last dry was on quicker side. Like 7 days and it was a bit too dry in some areas...

Have moisture meter now so should be able to check with np. I do see that people put the meter prong in the bud. Why not in the stem?

Anyway, I'm happy for now. Once again she doesn't smell hardly at all until you sniff the inside of buds or at least get nose close to bud.
My first grow after cure still doesn't smell strong until you break it up.

Looking at photos it's obvious the color different in the top of plant and the rest.... what does that tell? Referring to upside down hanging photo although others look perfectly fine so maybe it was the light on camera Did I have light too close maybe? Was 12 to 15" but never over 950 par. Never over 80f flower might have hit 80 a few times but not for long. Last week I had low 60f to try and bring color. But overall she looks green. Maybe the top is the part that was starting to get colorful? Although ìn photos it looks straight brown i must admit. Not bad up close though.

Don't know how I got so many duplicate pics.

Also I was having frustrating time with USB microscope and stopped trying to get good pics up close
