will my plants grow okay in the mountains?

so im getting a clone from my friend and was wondering if it'll grow alright in the mountains. its where i live and i have a hidden spot with plenty of light. but idk if i need to put special soil or anything cause they are growing fine in his backyard in the dirt. help me out???:-(

Just make sure they get 5 or more hours of direct sunlight and keep any weeds from underneath. It would be advantageous to at least add a bag of compost soil in as well, at a minimum.

A lot of it depends on your elevation. Here is some info that might help.

I grow at about 2200 feet in northern cal. At this elevation, I can expect my plants to finish 3-4 weeks later than what is "normal." I usually put my plants out at the end of May, and choose strains that finish as early as possible in order to avoid November frosts. I have had much success. I even know a guy who grows in a greenhouse at 5000 feet, with only 4-5 hours per day of direct sunlight.

I am sure that if you read up on the basics, and give your plants some attention, you can have very successful grows where you are at. As I always say, "How hard can it be? Stoners do it all the time."

hahah very true, stoners can do it so it cant be tooo hard, but does it matter if it might be stress? its a weird strain, they say its stress, but it is by far the greenest stress with red hairs, and it gets you blowwwwwn. what could it be?
