Not sure what reality you live in, but it's a simple fact that T5s, cfl and led cannot produce the same lumen output as HID for an equal amount of energy consumed.
You could not be more wrong, lumens mean absolutely nothing to plants, tis a measurement for how humans "see" lightHigh lumen output increases resin production and all around performance of the plant.
lots of folksWho doesn't care about yield?
WOW. I'll agree that there's a certain point at which the plants stop taking in light, but that point is way beyond the lumen output of T5s.You could not be more wrong, lumens mean absolutely nothing to plants, tis a measurement for how humans "see" light
I've been flowerin with T5's for years LMAOWOW. I'll agree that there's a certain point at which the plants stop taking in light, but that point is way beyond the lumen output of T5s.
I don't know any.lots of folks
I didn't say it can't be done, hell I veg under 432w of T5 but sure as hell ain't gonna flower with them and expect a decent yield or high potency. Outdoor is nowhere near as potent as indoor, wanna guess why?I've been flowerin with T5's for years LMAO
I use 1000 watts of T5's in an 18 bulb setup (clic sig link) all I care about is potency, yield means nothing and yet my garden yields just fineI didn't say it can't be done, hell I veg under 432w of T5 but sure as hell ain't gonna flower with them and expect a decent yield or high potency. Have you personally compared HID to T5 side by side? I'll bet you'll switch over if you ever do. I'm not slamming T5s but the heat from 18 of those bastards with no inline cooling would be unimaginable for me.I use 1000 watts of T5's in an 18 bulb setup (clic sig link) all I care about is potency, yield means nothing and yet my garden yields just fine
Yeppers several have and T5 wins every timeHave you personally compared HID to T5 side by side? I'll bet you'll switch over if you ever do. I'm not slamming T5s but the heat from 18 of those bastards with no inline cooling would be unimaginable for me.
Actually newer t5 with newer ballast are very close to hid. Withinn a few % of being the same efficiency of single ended hid.Not sure what reality you live in, but it's a simple fact that T5s, cfl and led cannot produce the same lumen output as HID for an equal amount of energy consumed.
I did too but did not come to the same conclusion as you I guess.Yeppers several have and T5 wins every time
Must not of used the right bulbsI did too but did not come to the same conclusion as you I guess.
They're a pain in the nuts to keep cool tho. HID still puts out more lumens, easier to cool and penetrates the canopy deeper than T5.Actually newer t5 with newer ballast are very close to hid. Withinn a few % of being the same efficiency of single ended hid.
T5 produces a better product in my opinion.
Wrong again, but it's ok as most would agree with yaThey're a pain in the nuts to keep cool tho. HID still puts out more lumens, easier to cool and penetrates the canopy deeper than T5.
what bulbs r u using?Must not of used the right bulbs
How far do you need to penetrate? The will put out about the same heat for equal watts. They're a pain in the nuts to keep cool tho. HID still puts out more lumens, easier to cool and penetrates the canopy deeper than T5.
right now I'm testin the Agromax bulbs but the best bulbs are ATIwhat bulbs r u using?
I'll keep that in mind for my veg lights. Still ain't buying that T5 flowering propaganda tho, haharight now I'm testin the Agromax bulbs but the best bulbs are ATI
take a look, ya might change your mindI'll keep that in mind for my veg lights. Still ain't buying that T5 flowering propaganda tho, haha
