Nice Matt, how many ya got going> and r they hempy?

15, it is a small set up.Yes indeed they are hempy, 3:1 perlite to vermiculite.First go at hempy and must say I love it! Use up quite a bit more nutes then I would with my usual soil grows but I have found the hempy plants to be flawless where as I usually ran into a problem or two along the way with soil. Will most certainly be using this method in the future.

Thanks for the info man, Ive read a bit about lucas formula but i had already ordered all 3 bottles so i figured i would use them up before switching, I have been starting with 1/4 the recommended dose and working my way up to the recommended dosage, but i was just wondering do you keep going after you hit the recommended dosage and back off when you see nute burn or do you just stop at the recommended dosage?

Sounds good you are half way there to a successful grow, as you increase your dosage weekly pay attention to your plants they will let you know what they need. Some strains don't take or won't take full strength nutes, so yes, take the time to increase the strength and at signs of change cut back. The fact that you have all 3 nutes is not a bad thing, you can still use the Grow during veg with the lucas formula. The extra nitrogen during this time can help, I use 3mL of Grow/gallon when getting clones rooted and new seedlings once they can be fed.

The largest seedling pots I've ever used.

I've been reading up on Auto's and a recurring theme is not to transplant them. So to that end my 3.5gal seedling pots, they are coir & mulch with a third perlite. At the top center I put in a couple scoops of soil and planted the seeds. It could be 3wks before I have to water again.

I heard this too. I made a small divot in the FFOF and filled
it with Light Warrior for the seeds to start in, when I grew autos.

Good luck,

I also had read that auto's should be started in the final pot.....so I put seedlings from rock-wool into 11L hempy buckets...they were slow at first but eventually kicked into high-gear

Good to hear that an auto will work in a hempy, I couldn't see why they wouldn't. I'm going to grow them outdoors, hope to get a finish in Aug instead of late Oct.

I just finished 3 different Auto's in straight perlite, had Auto Somango, Auto Critical Jack and Auto Jack. The Somango was very fruity smell and taste, a nice body buzz with the munchies. Both the Critical Jack and Jack are sativa dominant buzz's and tend to make me want to do things, get up and move around a lot. Great for a first hit of the morning to help get ya motivated. I grew them out in 2 gal buckets untrained, averaged 2 z's a plant. Only draw back is the Auto Jack hermied right out the gate, I'm talking all lower bud sights developed nads along with calix. Not sure I would recommend that strain to anyone.

Very nice Shaggn..boy you must have had those ready to go when you harvested. I harvested same time and im only on day 9 of 12/12. Went with large plants though...looking at your pretty lil garden wondering if i shouldnt have done 2l. Looks great dude!

My girls are in rapid stretch mode right now. Got a MH hanging bare bulb vertical in there to try n help keep nodes tight and to increase my wattage. My scrog didnt really turn out so now the trellis will just hold my buds up. Looking like a nice canopy for this run. Think im going to trim a lot of growth from the bottoms....went in and looked and damn near every branch is at canopy level so itll just be leaf for the most part. Id leave it but ive had issues with PM and inwant some good air movement down there and its a fucking jungle right now.

Looks like a jungle in there Shiva. I tend to take clones and have them ready with just a couple days, to do a thorough cleaning. This may be my last 2L run though. I'm not liking the high numbers and think I may switch to a 4 plant scrog instead. Thanks for the compliment :)

My friend SWIM is also contemplating a move to scrogging rather than sogging ,2l hempys take the sea of green method to a whole new level as far as numbers go, that was one reason why swim switched to hempy style growing, its also so easy and rhythmic when doing them perpetually.

But now swim finds that for every new row of 2l hempys he finds space for, it is very quickly adding up, atm he finds that if the hempys go into flower when a few roots have hit the res (after 4 days or so) he can fit 49 under a 400w hps and 64 under a 600w as apposed to 4 in a scrog lol.

The wasted materials from these little perfectly formed bud sticks, i would guestimate to be less than that of a well vegged scrog, the one and only reason swim would change over would be purely for the popo, however that will be a bad day anyway if the worst should happen, so swim continues deep in thought on this subject.

On a lighter note,i was just wondering if any of you lot, knew of anyone, that went for 9 rows of 9 under a 600w hps, and if they didn't suffer ill effects due to cramping, or even 11 rows of 11 ,which theoretically would fit in a 1.2m square area and watering isnt an issue for me as i have not watered the girls from the top for months now , i merely fill the res up to 2" once a week and let them dry(very rhythmic) , i dont even run air stones anymore without noticeable effects as they still yield well, i know swim really should do the aforementioned but he is very lazy and visits his grow rarely so Que Sera

Anyways, this hempy business seems to have the capabilities of braking records (gram per wat per week ) depending on strain, and swim would love discussions on the subject if SWIY has experiences
