The Mango is a Herrer cross huh? That is one of my fav strains for the high. Also was lucky enough to meet the namesake and sadly was there watching a a speech of his at Condes Hightimes hempfest in Oregon when he had his stroke back in like 95 or 96. Really nice guy and great speaker!

Nice roots Jela..why not just drink liquor ;-) far fewer calories.

Agreed. If calories are a concern liquor is more efficient and tastes way better than any of those ultralight beers. Give me a good aged tequila on the rocks with a few drops of lime juice in it over that any day.

Thanks all for getting my priorities back in order...I don't know how you knew that tequila has an affliction for me. Here's a shot to all my Hempy Brotha's and Sisters.

Thats some yummy tequila...even though tequila makes me loud and obnoxious! Since I work in the wine industry ..my go to is of course wine because it is free and i can act like im sophisticated hah ;-)

My girls are getting that white/amber sheen and looking like fall ...they are begging me to butcher them basically.

The Afghan blueberry smoke report....very musky and fruity...imagine if you will a a blueberry cobbler in the oven in a bachelor pad mid summer when everyone ran out of deoderant....a Grateful Dead show is passing through town..and someone brought home an au naturale dreadlocked heathen bitch in heat...this is how it smells. The taste (fairly fresh yet smokable but bendy stemmed) is fairly rich and pleasant. The high is like drinking a cup of coffee with a splash of kalua and slipping under some warm covers...delightful.

Bluedream is as always very very fruity with a perfume that lingers...Even nibbling on a leaf or stem tastes like eating a perfumed piece of fruit...and taken at approx 8 weeks the high is cerebral and nurturing. Easily one of my favorites ever.

Sand Widow....this stuff gets you fucked up...and it tastes good. I think that after a nice long cure this will be stupendous. I didnt get a great feel for it last run as it had PM bad and i had to greencure it at week 7.

The tops that i took from my smallest BD weighed in at 23.4 grams probably another 7 grams of bottom nugs that are still in flower. This pheno is an amazing producer...if you can get your hands on the clone version...or hunt the pheno out from HSO SEEDS...do it.

Im not someone who believes that leaves should be dark green at harvest. Up until about week 7...yes. To each their own but in my experience excess N at the end does affect flavor. I dont flush with pure water or any flushing product but i do start tapering my feeds down until the last feed is maybe 200 ppms. In my personal opinion it shocks plants to go from high level nutrient solutions to 0 nutrients...and they NEED food at the end just not as much....everyone has their own opinion amd whatever works for you is cool by me.

I find pine is the dominant smell of my Blue Dream but there is definitely a lot of fruit along with it. I really enjoy the buzz from her and she helps more with pain than anything else I've ever had. And damn does she produce some big DENSE buds! I just chopped some tops from one on Sunday that just went into jars, I've smoked about 6 grams out of it and there's 40g in jars that will probably lose a g or 2 of water still. Here's the plant at 68 days before and after I cut her, and a nug shot of her largest bud that dried to 11g of buds and a pic of what I took off.

Not too bad for a plant that was vegged under 2 23W CFLs in a party cup for about 2 months from cutting before going into a 1 qt container a week before being transplanted into a 3g pot the day she went into flower under a 400W. 12"x16" canopy and 15" tall from the top of the pot.
I wouldn't want to pheno hunt through the HSO beans at $13 a pop though. Good thing I have some silver nitrate and sodium thiosulfate on order to make some silver thiosulfate and make some S1s in this next cycle.

Hey everyone, just hanging home for now, Thinking I have some stuff that needs to be done...

I have a few plants in a sunny window and I think they would do better under the HPS, any problem with doing this? Thanks

Houseplants? Nothing wrong with doing that with MJ, it's going the other way around that usually creates trouble (being not used to UV light). For other plants an HPS might be too much light.

hey guys how are you all? for my second grow i have decided to go hempy style, i am about to purchase the buckets and perlite/vermiculite, i have some seeds already germinated in a 4x4x4 inch rockwool cube.

Is the rockwool going to disturb the perfect ph that hempy buckets supply, i know make sure the water i water with is the correct ph, but ive read that the ph of rockwool is 7.5, would this have to be calculated if transplanted into the mix?

For this grow i plan on doing 1 part vermiculite, 3 part perlite, is this optimal?

thank you
