Hey guys we recently had a heat wave here, so i started a thread over in the grow room design section contributing and looking for some innovative ideas on how to keep our houses / grow rooms cooler in these coming summer months, so i just figured i would throw this out here and see if any of you would like to stop by and enlighten us with your energy efficient ways, some one has already contributed a pretty interesting lighting schedule that could save some of us on some heat issues this summer...

Guys,

will post pics tomorrow but ... atm, I'm not adding anything new to my OP. Just cropping and finishing what remains.

Making plans to move my grow. I'm nervous and excited at my decision/plans. Don't want to say too much and jinx it but OMG this new place is awesome.

hey,I just put my 12 seedlings in their hempy buckets and gave them some water.I'm not sure how much water I should be using.2 ltrs. per hempy?I just want a couple plants for clones, but I'd like to smoke the rest. There are a few sad specimens among them and I don't wanna kill em.Can I over water?

It's called "Hempy Fever"......I know I have it. I see things in stores and imagine drilling a hole in the side of it and packing it with coco. I see containers in the trash at home and at work and think "what can I grow in this?" so I pull them out and wash them up.....

My bucket hempy (11 litres) will take almost 4L of water when bone dry....and my 2L pop bottles take about 2/3 of a litre each (2 litres waters 3 hempy bottles)

I was over watering my first hempy, as it would droop a bit....but not like the issues you get when you over water a dirt dweller.

I mostly go by feel/weight...when it's light I water it. if not I wait awhile.

I use 5L (1.25g) buckets and feed about 1/2 gallon every 2-3 days. Watering is one of those non-consensus things. Some people have great success watering everyday. I like to let my buckets dry out really good, about every 2-3 days like I said. I'm late in flower now so they are damn thirsty after one day even, so I let them go that extra day to dry out real good. JMO but I think drying them out good really gets alot of oxygen to the root system.

Don't worry you wont be able to over water them because they are no where near the reservoir, just make sure u replenish the water that is held above the reservoir by the perlite every day or so, how much water you use is really up to you but i would just make sure to use enough that your baby's are not wilting by 24 hours later...

I lifted the bucket too high and drove the cola into the ceiling, bent it over and damaged it a bit.....a few hurting leaves...hope it's okay

the 2L bottles are doing good but the buds are not bulking up much as I would like to see....they just seem light and fluffy

The dwarfed dirt dweller is ready to chop anytime soon, starting to see amber trichromes

The little one is doing better but still has the growth on the other set of leaves...can't remove this one without cutting the entire leaf off....I'll soon transplant it into a 11L hempy bucket with a soil cap...and sunlight only

Cannabis is a remarkably resilient plant. Unless you snapped her clean thru she will be fine. Duct tape works well to hold together stem splits if that is the case. Not sure if it snapped in the cola but be gentle with her and she should heal up and finish fine.

Plants look good, quick question for you. How high are you keeping your LED's from your plants? I've done a couple grows with LED and was curious as to how you are going to run them. I've found with my LED optimum was between 12 and 18 inches. Like your new grow room, pretty stellar space you have.

For my perticular led light it was recommended 2-3 feet above plants. I'm currently sitting at 30 inches. I'll be adjusting them as needed. Like I said its my first go with LEDs so I'm still learning the ropes. And thanks, I put a lot of work and money into my new space and I'm loving it so far. It will be nice to have my deck space back (currently have my tents there) not mention less nosey visitors/friends/family.

Working on my project this weekend, I have all my stuff now, but I hate soldering, I'm the worlds worst solderer...but I got a new heat free pen, so I'll give it a try. Work sucked today Everything I touched turned to a mess, so I quit for the day and came home to do some gardening...

I hate soldering cause I always get burned :(, and in my job I have to do a lot of soldering, so I tell people if I have to solder I charge more and if I end up in the hospital, they will have to pay for it...LOL
