Oregon has a population of 4 million. About half the state is no grow and very restricted in sales. This by choice of the majority of the residents in those counties. So, you aren't exactly coming into a state that is welcoming MJ. Maybe 25% of the population in the free thinking parts of the Oregon use MJ. The market selling to those people is already saturated and price-pressures are affecting commercial growers. Nobody at this site should need to be reminded that the incoming administration is composed of drug warriors who want to roll back MJ regulations to that of the 1989.
Not only that, but it's easy for private growers such as myself to produce more than they need. I enjoy giving away my surplus to others. This is a trend that is growing too. I can't imagine every paying for weed again. Nor should friends and family of mine. This will cap the market prices for all but the high end boutique weed, which can and should command high prices. Are you planning on entering the market at the high end? Do you think that will be easy?
When are you planning to start building your 10,000 sq ft greenhouse operation? Do you have licenses in hand or do you need to go through that part of the process too? Do you know how much that will cost? What part of the market are you planning to satisfy? Where is your funding coming from? Can you move around and perform hard physical labor given your disability? Based upon your medical and medicaid history, I surmise your funding is coming from somebody else. How patient will will your owner be before they force out their "working" partner? Don't bother answering these questions, I don't really care. I'm just saying that nothing you've said inspires confidence in your planning.
You've missed the early days when profits from the rec market were good for people already growing for the medical market. Those days are over. Smart, competent, thoughtful, skilled and properly funded start ups should still be able to make it in Oregon. You can't even spell or correctly use grammar. Not only that but you must be hopped up on pain meds just to make it through the day. Your "plan" sounds like something a doped up disabled vet might dream up. I don't wish you good luck in your plan to grow MJ in Oregon. I save that sentiment for people who deserve it.
