wtf? why aren't these finishing... day 71 pics

I'm trying to be patient (this is my first grow) but my sativa plant looks twice as done as the indicas! I started a flush a week ago but realized it may not be time and fed the indicas with 1/2-1/4 strength nutes last time. I'm also seeing what appears to be the very tip of new growth coming out yellow (I don't think I picked it up in the pics) on the indicas. Strains are 3 big bangs, 1 IPOT. under 600hps, AN nutes slight PH problem fixed.

Sometimes plants just don't wanna stop growing. Check the trichs and see if they are done. If they are I would chope em despite new growth as the old growth will just drop in potency if left for too long. Maybe if you haven't already start flushing and chop em no matter what.

Should've mentioned I'm not seeing many amber trichs. the sativa is almost completely cloudly with a few ambers while the others I'm not seeing much, if any amber.

If you are on 12/12 light cycle then switch to 14 dark/10 light. I had same issues and this was the best advice I was given. More dark should boost the finish. Give it a week and check trich's Good luck.

Check trich's every day. After looking more closely at your pics the trichs seem clear. you might even need two weeks. Sativas can take up to 12 weeks sometimes. overwatering and other stresses can slow the process as well.

did you feed them any superthrive during flowering?

10-14 more days.. dont feed them nothing flush!!!

Those pics are actually of the indica, but you're right there are still a lot of clears

the schedule went something like:
bud blood/carbo load
big bud/ carbo load
replaced carbo load with bud candy
ovredrive
using iguana bloom as a base

That was a great ? I have done that on my first grow took like 10 wks cause I used superthrive the whole time . I ended up chopping while still clear. good luck

maybe u feed them to much nitrogen..it makes them take longer to finish, its a very common mistake.

this is one of those times where waiting will pay off u alredy have done all the hard stuff now all u gotta do is wait for her to shine

It's because your plants don't give a shit about flowering times that were posted on the internet. They tell you when they are ripe, not the other way around. Real patience comes after 70 days of flowering. The leaves still look good, so you are doing very well for a first timer.

UVB makes it cloudyer right? 10/14 cannabis would abort all flowering so idk if that is what you want.

Decreasing the amount of light (10/14) will speed up the maturing process. But at this stage, I would just grin and wait it out. Take a sample off one of the lower buds if you are curious about the potency.

Small samples are advisable to takenote on what you like for your own preferences.

as far as cutting light hours back..not thinking its a great idea..i know alot of OG growers who actually add more light towards the end of harvest to make the plant work OVERTIME..so instead of 12/12 u add 2 hours 14/10 to make her finish faster..but im thinking u should maybe u go buy some OVERDRIVE or a late finisher nutrient to MAKE her ripin up

What is the strain that you refer to as being sativa? Is is a real true sativa, as in not an sativa/indica cross or is it just predominantly sativa and if so what percentage of sativa is it?

If you have 5% to 10% light amber trichomes, the time to harvest is now. Amber is a sign of oxidized THC, THC that had degraded, broken down and has become CBN. Waiting for more amber is only a case of intentionally growing your plants past peak THC levels and intentionally throwing away THC to get more CBN.

CBN content increases as THC degrades. It is only mildly psychoactive and can cause "fuzzy head", drowsiness, disorientation and sleepiness in the smoker. Some people wrongly believe that to be a body stone or a couch-lock stone but a true body stone, a true couch-lock stone comes from high percentages of CBD, not oxidized, degraded THC that has transformed into increased levels of CBN.

If what you are calling a sativa is a real true 100% sativa, or even a cross that is like 90% or higher in sativa, then you would want to harvest when roughly 5% to 10% of the trichomes have turned cloudy. A true sativa, a pure sativa or one that is almost pure will reach peak THC levels when the trichomes are still clear but the only way to know the trichomes have maxed out when it comes to THC levels is to wait until a small percentage of them have begun to turn cloudy. Once you see that, the rest should be as ready as they will ever be.
