Alright.

Got Xbox live recently, and I've got a question:

How much information can people learn from your gamertag?
If I were to post it here, could you figure out my address or anything?
 
I'm not sure...even though I have XBox live I play single-player games. But AFAIK the only thin knowing your gamertag would do is enable someone playing on the Xbox to find you

Well if they decided to be fucking creepers and google search "finshaggy" it will probably bring them to this.
But I don't know what the fuck they think they're going to do lol.


I keep my xbox/ps3 name separate than the names I use on the internet though, mainly because my gamertags are really lame.
 
I'm sure most people don't want to be regaled with tales of Shiva, aliens, and how Lil' Wayne is leading the next black revolution while they are trying to play video games.

Other than to say "Headshot" or "Come over here" and stuff, seems unnecessary...
 
i dont think they really can unless they're really good with computers so i wouldnt really worry about it. i use fake names and addresses, but it sucks when you gotta call xbox for somethin and you forgot the bullshit name you put on it. lol i play halo3, mw3 sometimes, bf3 most often, ncaa12, and i mean yall dont want it in uno!

they can find you email. and billing statements from Microsoft . But i find it hard to think a judge would issue a warrant for a xbox live account.
 
You guys never manage to find someone to play with at the same time because you all make the same thread. There are threads with people's tags out there already but they never get bumped.
