Yeast and water ? Does this have affect on CO2

Hey was just readin through someones journal on super silver haze and i saw someone say about yeast and water to have better co2 could anyone explain what benifiets this has and how you do it? seems like a good little trick !

Yeast needs something to eat, namely sugar. Preferably monosaccharide. Use simple syrup.

you need to add 4 cups of sugar to the mix..your ladies look good
