would a law stop a woman from smoking or drinking or would education work better? Prohibition works according to you?

The only person I can speak for is me. I can't give your opinion for you. Besides you seem to hold two opinions at once, the one you hold other people to and the exceptions you carve out for yourself.

Society is the aggregate of individual people, some that may share opinions, some that do not. All deserve to have their individuality respected. Polite individuals within a society leave people alone that reciprocate, it's called minding your own business.

I try not to confuse "society" with any coercive political system that may hold sway in a given geographic area as that is a kind of sychophantic trap I'd rather not get caught up in.

Actually I was trying to say exactly what I said.

I noticed you still avoided the question, I'll ask again.

Which method would be more successful?
A) tell a woman she can't drink or smoke during pregnancy or we'll lock her up
B) educate expectant mothers of the dangers to their child if they drink or smoke during pregnancy

We are on a pot forum, an illegal activity for most of us. Tell us how you are going to stop women by telling them "you hafta!?


Note, there is nothing in that question that even comes close to saying Ban Child Abuse Laws!!
