Yesterday's Mass Shooting.

Bullshit.

The people committing these mass shootings are pubescent incels living in grandma’s basement, using guns they purchased at Walmart.
That would be another interesting chart to see is the age group, length of ownership, criminal or mental history, etc.
I was going under that assumption that IF all new guns sales went to "single shot", there's still plenty of black market guns out there. Criminals are smart, thats why they're called criminals. However, in this case, the guy was gonna blow his own brains out anyways.
Here's what's kinda fucked up as far as private sales go. ... lets say you buy a 9mm, registered, own it for 5 years and sell it. There's usually no paperwork done, just a handshake, and exchange of money. Then, lets say this buyer murders someone with your old registered gun.... that's gonna come back on you as the registered owner of the murder weapon. This happens every day. I've done it myself many times (private sale).
They don't even need to find the gun itself, just the bullet. When you buy a new hand gun, in the case are 2 empty shells that they have fired through that particular gun, and hold those bullets on file. Each gun has a unique rifling pattern.... a "fingerprint" so to speak. Now, how many "fingerprints" do they make?.... I don't know the answer to that, but im sure it's not many. Kinda like when you buy a riding lawn mower and lose the key.. you can go down to Tractor Supply and get a new one off the shelf that fits "2010-2022 46"-60" Cub Cadets Mowers".
Im sure there's stats somewhere that show the number of mass shootings where the shooter takes his/her own life in the process. But either way, this is a problem that's gonna be hard to fix.

No reason for weapons of war to be in civilian hands, the tumbling effect of a AR round is absolutely gruesome inside a human body, ask any surgeon,it is ghastly in the damage that a AR round does.
Do you really think soldiers are carrying AR's, :wall:. NO! They have FULLY Automatic rifles. You guys and your demonizing guns by giving them names which are inaccurate is annoying. It's the idiot people killing people not the guns. Don't take away my rights just because some others are dipshits. OK, I'm done. Now back to the grow sections,:bigjoint:

The interchangeability of parts between civilian ARs and military issue weapons contradicts your outburst.

You can make any high capacity semi auto rifle into a full auto, and you don't have to buy anything. This can only be done from the hip, and I've done it. Assuming you're right handed, hook your thumb in a belt loop on your pants, make a stiff finger 90 degrees against the trigger, get a firm grip with your left hand on the fore grip, and push and hold pressure forward. ... full auto.

Full auto is not needed to put a huge amount of lead in the air, light recoil, 3000+ fps and little barrel rise and obscenely high count magazines. Not hunting or target guns. These are people killers, it’s what they’re made for. That’s the truth.

I just tried it for fun... too expensive. You can send 40 rounds downrange in about 3 seconds and $60 bucks later.

As a American,I often think about how the US is perceived by other countries concerning the stunning and horrendous amount of mass shootings that occur in the states. We are a relatively young country not far removed from the wild West days, the right to bear arms has morphed into us being armed to the teeth "just in case". We have a powerful NRA lobby that effectively thwarts any legislative changes. This explains the sheer amount of guns in our country. What is doesn't explain is how the hate filled darkness that permeates the soul of these people to randomly execute multiple innocent people. We've all blamed the usual suspects, realistic video games, violence glorified in movies and television, etc.,but is has to be something more than that. People who are unhappy and don't want to live any longer use to commit suicide 25 yrs ago it seems to me. I vividly remember a mass shooting in a Post office way back and it led to the term "going postal",then two kids who were shunned as outcasts by their peers did Columbine. Since then it has become more and more common as the years have past to where we are now when this happens weekly or even more. The process that occurs in a distraught individual's mind that makes it a rational action to murder as many people as possible before putting the gun to their own head is a level of hate and darkness that I can't comprehend.
Most of the world just think Americans are crazy.
I don't understand how after every mass shooting there are cries for more guns and the ability to walk around with guns. Like, yea more guns are working just fine lets add more armed people walking around that will fix it. Other countries have shown what works but crazy Americans just don't seem to want to change.

If anything, a mass shooting only spurs gun sales. I got a buddy who is a sales rep for a gun manufacturer, and he says they are 6-8 months behind on fulfilling orders. They can't make them fast enough.
