Thanks for the correction, I didn't know it was Reagan that authorized them.Yes, But the reason it's a reference to Reagan is because it was done under his watch in 1984. =)
Bingo. And as I stated earlier, permits were needed decades ago. Common knowledge.LOL that was funny when Bush Sr made that fau paux.
You have to wonder why you need a permit, I mean the amendment does not give the right to Assemble, it gives the right to peaceably assemble. If its peaceful why do you need a permit? Is it so you don't actually schedule your day for the tea party on the same day the Mothers Against Men are having their Man hating speeches? If just 1 person is going to be their does he need a permit? Does the guy in NYC with the John 3:16 sign have a permit to carry that? In the future will I need a Permit to go to the park with my grandkids to play in the sandbox or use the swings?
Anyone who demonstrates more than once finds out real quick that you need a permit, its been like that for a long time and I assumed it was common knowledge. these people here if they are serious will go get the permit and come back to show that know it all park cop ( he isn't SWAT) what is really up. jrh I agree with you when it came to the TASER part of the video, I thought he was reaching for a pen and paper and guffawed at the text over. You will have to admit the cop does not know his law very well and I think that really is the point of the video, dumb ass cop.
But you can go to the grocery store and choose from a hundred different types of ice cream! If that's not freedom, then I don't know what is.Of course you need a permit. What the hell ... we need the government's permission to start a business, to build a home, to get married, to own a car, to drive, to hunt, to fish, to own a firearm, to leave the country, to enter the country, to transact large cash transactions, to work, to enter national parks, to take drugs we deem beneficial, to enter a profession, and on, and on, and on, and on.
And yet, there are those who still insist that we are free.

^^^ Its called reaping the benefits of a capitalistic, free market system. What goes for ice cream also applies to health care. But you can go to the grocery store and choose from a hundred different types of ice cream! If that's not freedom, then I don't know what is.
Well as long as we still have 31 flavors^^^ Its called reaping the benefits of a capitalistic, free market system. What goes for ice cream also applies to health care.
Now then, take the production of ice cream away from those greedy, capitalistic, non-altruistic ice cream making pigs, and we will have the choice of ONE type of ice cream: Plain vanilla government issue. And, we would have to wait in line for it.

Yeah, you're fine with it now, but just wait until its reduced to one flavor ... Obama-cream.Well as long as we still have 31 flavors
You can be arrested for what you say now, so be careful. It wasn't this way 20 years ago; it is a slippery slope.
Freedoms are constantly being traded for the common good (of the state), just as they did in Nazi Germany.
I'm kind of getting used to fascism; it's not so bad; as long as I have Ice Cream
i've done most of the things on that there list without permision. I'm free till they catch me!Of course you need a permit.
