Nice, I have referred to her as my wife for about a decade now so, now it's going to be official. In my state common law marriage kicks in after living together for just a few years, so it's not really a big change. But it's going to make her pretty damn happy, and that's what counts.
yep, that it will my friend. It did for my wife too....Tx has a common law law as well, so when we decided to actually do it, i went to her dad and asked for her hand, he was surprised and said yes, he actually walked her down for me....which was something she wanted and he wanted as well....

Good stuff. The only thing I'm bout looking forward to is wearing a ring. I can't stand wearing watches, chains, rings, etc. I'm looking into something alternative.

Paul may lend you his breakfast setup if you ask nicely.

The Pancake Griddle

Paul’s axemen ate so many flap-jacks they couldn’t supply the demand. Ole, the Blacksmith, made a griddle so large you couldn’t see across it when the smoke was thick.

Sourdough Sam had fifty men with pork rinds tied to their feet skating around the griddle to grease it. The batter was mixed in large barrels and it took a strong cook just to turn the flapjacks, let alone get them to the table.

My first wife told me that all it takes in Tx is to introduce someone as
your husband/wife in public 3 different times.

She was from Corpus Christi so it could be true, although she was a dizzy bitch
that much I know.:finger:

That's one I never put on. Never had one to put on.

I have always worked with my hands in very hands on type of work.
Too much to worry about missing fingers because a ring got pinched,
snagged or short circuited.

The no ring wearing was part of the deal and discussed up front before
any invitations were mailed.

i've never taken mine off either, once it was set and i've never taken it off. I allow her to do it for cleaning purposes, think she took it off when i had my appendix taken out, other than that hasn't left my finger

Same here, I work on all my own vehicles and equipment and I do custom glass by trade. There's always something wrong with one of my hands if not both.

I've been with my old lady for 13 yr. We had a wedding planned a few years ago but life got in the way. I honestly don't see the point of putting it on paper, but it was for her. She just "informed" me that we're getting married on the 29th. Ok dear, whatever you want. Lol
Congratulations!

I also don't do rings, I have my dad's rings but they are a little small, but I also do too much manual stuff that gets fingers lost on rings. That, and I get paranoid I won;t get them off and then it sets of a whole nasty chain of events.... So, I just don't wear any rings or any other jewelry for that matter. I don't do tattoos.
