anyways, since I've been struggling with nute burn, I've decided to flush before transplanting. I honestly think if I jus transplanted without flushing, the ewc would burn my girls...they are some light eaters that's for sure. Worm castings will probably be the only nutes they need for a good while.

also, another thing I've been doing is trying to get a nice even canopy of tops so I'm ready for the screen when that time comes. I just locate a top that's lower than the others, snip the yarn holding her down, and watch her catch back up to the rest of the tops. It was pretty amazing to see the plants react so well to this. The canopy is a lot more even than it was 2 weeks ago.

Nice! I'm not surprised they aren't heavy feeders. Stella isn't a heavy feeder at all. Can you get some pics up? I'm curious how your girls are looking.

i took these a few nights ago. the girls are recovering really well from their flush. i'm feeling pretty confident about the rest of this grow. i mean i really can't foresee anything happening that would be an issue i can't handle at this point..and that is a great feeling. pictures are gonna be huge. i can't upload them the way i usually do for some reason.

thanks dude. i might transplant into the 7 galls today. not sure yet though, we'll see when the lights come on. i'm excited to see their reaction to the bigger pot size, lime, and worm castings.

and i think they were droopin cause at the time of the pictures i had just dumped 5 gallons of water into each girl, lol.

78 is good temp if they are vegging you really want the RH to be between 60-65%, if they are in flower you would be spot on because flower you want between 40-50% RH.


Also looks pretty leafy how long you been vegging them?

If its ok here a pic of my 3 Blue Dreams Im in 5x5 gorilla tent and keep in mind I vegged mine for 3 months tallest plant is close to 6' others are over 3' respectably. They are starting 4th week of flower. And I must say im very impressed with the resin production. I have resin glands on the ends of my fan leaves which is always good if your trying to make hash

ahh, i guess i should have read more. i didn't see that you had just flushed them.

depending on how heavy they are they just might get upcanned today. it's too late now, but should i have purchased some perlite when i was buying the ewc and lime??

Also don't know if im lucky or if the 36 hr dark period before i turned the lights on 12/12 did the trick but my plants really didnt stretch that much the first 2 weeks of flower.

I like to have really good aeration in my medium. O2 availability is often one of the limiting factors on plant growth. No O2 and they can't burn those sugars they make for energy.

yeah, 7 gall smart pots. ima go check out your grow when i get some time. i'm excited to see the results from big pots. i'm glad being patient with this grow isn't as difficult as i thought it would be.

oh and i'm actually about to go upstairs and decide whether i want to transplant or not. i probably won't do the 36 hour dark period thing. just gonna throw em' into 12/12.

i'm convinced. i think it is a supplement worth having but not something i should worry about for this grow.

so any advice on training through the screen?

my room smells like weed when i walk in the door now. the screen already looks pretty full. i don't think it'll be too long before i switch to flowering. another thing, i'm thinking the earth worm castings might be the only nutrients my girls need for at-least a while and maybe from now on. idk if i mentioned that previously.


and what about trimming underneath the screen? what's y'alls opinion on that??

My opinion on training through the screen-When the branches start to come through the screen you need to bend then down into the next making sure a side growth on the branch is getting the direct light and just continue to fill the screen as the branches keep coming up through the next hole in the screen.

As far as trimming underneath the screen you should not have anything underneath the screen that way you only have a full canopy "threaded" through the holes and zero popcorn. SO when you fill up the screen anything underneath the screen really wont get any light so it would be wasted nutes trying to feed the undergrowth.

Now I could be wrong on the first point because I personally have never did a scrog but believe that is how it is done and if you are having problems keeping the top of the branches from just going back just tie the branches to the screen after awhile you can untie them.


On a side note that may be a mut point- before you up-canned did you shake that root ball loose

i shook the plant to get excess top soil off but nothing specifically towards the root ball. i really don't even know what the root ball is.

The ball of roots and medium. It's not strictly needed but many find shaking or scoring the roots helps them take off a little faster after transplant.
