FAA Tax Dollars at Waste

Right now I have a hunk of junk. I worked on it all last evening. Still missing a few concepts, I think, swapping from an s-bus to a DMX2 Rx.

Thing is, I found this Rx supports S-bus out, if I can figure a way to have that acceptable to the Flight System.

The Futbaba s bus is pretty trick, lets you use all high powered servos direct too. The days of having to make sure your current draw are under the max the BEC can put out are nearing an end.
Problem with Futaba is the cost, they make nice shit though.

Well, I have been working on it this evening and got the naza controller upgraded to V2. And I had this before with another Orange Rx, $6. Binds and responds just fine until I hook in the controller. The O-620 has Sbus, too but I just went through hours of trying all combos but,got nothing. In fact it would not even hook to the PC until I put the Futaba type sbus reciever back.

So.... Did you know the Futaba 8FG is a 14 channel Sbus standard Tx? (with the same protocols as the DJI Rx, I took out and now put back) I need a new radio.

FASStest or something, right? :)

Yeah...I remember when my life was in my backpack. Then it was in $5 pieces of stuff, then $50 chunks, now $500. My friend with a Beech V-tail Bonaza seems to liive a life of $5000 blocks. And I remember they said Bill Gates property tax was $50K. The Pigeon Man, Iron Mike Tyson, said he blew through $300,000,000, because of his "friends."

All relative, I guess.

I've crashed it all. :) And these Orange parkfly receivers don't have the range for what I want.

Just found a US source on Ebay for the 8FG Super. Free shipping and $100 less than HobbyKing.

Beer Drones.
It had nothing to do with beer, but it was an advertisement for payload capacity.

How soon before drones are running drugs across the border?

You cannot have a beer drone without payload.

How soon? Yesterday.

Did you see the cameras at the Olympics?

 Quebec prisons.
For some strange reason that makes sense.
It is happening. Print drones, guns and ammo.

I don't know what to think of this. I have watched it a couple of times.

Computer graphics, Real or Memorex?....you be the judge.

Are you asking if the Computer Graphics are Real or Memorex? It does look a little better than Sharknado lol

Seen this one? No fpv but a decent payload:)

100% computer generated, do you think you would risk your safety and stand mere feet away from a full auto weapon firing on top of a hovering quad ?? Yeah right.

I am more into 3D heli action myself. I have quite a few.

I can't do all the maneuvers Nick does here, but most of them. I have been flying helis for 11 years now.

I think that russian accent was "generated" as well!

Sick looking drone though.

3d Heli's remind me of when I was little looking at the orchards and wondering how the tops were all made even.
My dad said a heli flew upside down and cut them LOL.

Negative pitch is badass.

They are putting collective pitch on quads now. Still in the lab, because the programning is a bitch. But, you can imagine the control. if you had collective negative pitch and 3 axis articulating fans.

For me the giveaway as usual, was the model, defied physics. The take off and turn was just a little too quick to be real, for the weight and the air density. And the perspective when he first took off and turned became incorrect for a sec. The copter was still the same size but is was suppose be much farther.

Other than that damn fine graphic. Shadows, dust, etc. They have the smoke roiling in the rotor wash, all that. Lots of effort.

As to me standing there.... I know from Robo-Cop, I always have 10 sec. to throw down my weapon. :)
