What's everyone's plans?

There's a nice mix of people here, could be fun to see what the riu community get up to when not hanging out, shooting the shit here.

Normally my weekends consist of me lazing about in my underwear until the hangover wears off but this one's going to be different. This time I'm going to get up early Sat go out for lunch, then go on a tour of a brewery! Great idea eh?

Be it a weekend trip you've been looking forward to or a trimming session you've been dreading. Please post away. Would love to here what everyone's up to.

One of my daughters(& her BF) will be in town so the ex and I are taking them wine tasting (not my idea) and later do fancy cooking. I love seafood, the ex- not so much; the daughter does so I won't be outvoted this time

Guess I'm jaded, I'm surrounded by wineries and vineyards. Every jerkoff thinks they can make wine and are so pretentious about it

lived in tex since 94 i would take a tour of the most pretentious winery just to get back out to sonoma
I'd have to agree with you on that LOL. I'm south of Sonoma (Cen Coast). The ex and I met in grad school at Davis....back then winetasting was a blast. I'm one of my daughter's chief sources of entertainment, she likes hearing me bitch and grouse about this, so I suspect her influence in the weekend plans. She eggs me on, gives me ammo and we have fun, while mom shakes her head.

Don't really know anything about wine. Sometimes I get a bottle I really like, sometimes not. After a glass or two does it really matter?

Much prefer wine drunk to beer drunk though.

I'm driving across the southwest U.S. From a Pueblo about 90 miles west of Albuquerque, up through Albuquerque and Taos New Mexico, then on through La Veta pass (should hit that about noon tomorrow.) On up to Walsenburg, through Pueblo (the city) to Colorado Springs. I'll rest, talk to family and see what their grow set up progress is looking like.Saturday morning, I'll head up to Denver, hit I-70 west and skip across the Continental Divide. From there I'm not certain, but I'm going to try to cross Nevada, and land somewhere south of San Fransisco. From there, the Coastal up, might stop and visit the fiance's family in Mendocino and Humboldt counties -- I have 1 piece of glass left, everything else was broken or stolen, and the one I've got is a tiny "travel pipe." (Someone in her family makes/sells glass.)

EDIT: And, I'd like to meet members along the way, and blaze (or dab.)

Which brewery? Brew Dog's? My wife just toured the Guiness brewery this week. She doesn't even like beer. Maybe she will bring me some yummy Guiness chocolates. I gave her 125 € to bring me cheese - illegal, unpasturized cheese. Any tips Gonzo? I was going to have her pick up a nice Stilton. But if there are some good Irish cheeses, I could switch it up.

So this weekend... Decided to spend my strippers and coke money on a new sofa. We get a LOT of sun and the one near the windows finally gave up the ghost. Maybe not black this time. Other than that, I plan on picking up a whole lot of tree branches and litter from the yard (including some more needles {the construction junkies are Polish, so my Spanish translation got me nowhere.})

Then I am going to vaccum. The cats are losing their winter coats and there are hair bunnies galore.

Then I am making bubble hash in order to make some room in the freezer.

It is possible that I will lay my hands on some extra Founders KBS (Kentucky Breakfast Stout). If so, I will make bubble hash while getting lit up a bit.

Keep forgetting you're pretty clued up about this neck of the woods. It's a brewery called west, pretty popular and carried by a lot of the pubs here.

Cheese that's made with unpasturised is banned? I remember hearing something about that but don't think I can help. Love most cheeses but not really sure what's pasturised or not.

Tour good lady's family from Ireland?
