Wolf Systems also offers a 2100 μmol 1k bulb called Grow Green. Hydrofarm's MSRP is 149.95That's how they started. They've been developing their own bulbs since a couple of years ago, the first DE at 1950 umol, second one (pro de el, available since last year) offers 2100umol. Designed by Gavita, and exclusively manufactured for them in Germany. EDIT: just read a PRO DE EL PLUS is in the making.
The admin of the largest dutch grow forum is working for Gavita now, he has some posts here too (username whazzup).
As Govita imports from Holland to the US through a local wholesale distributor I was hoping there may be an asset to this threads location. I've pooled my resources, met the criteria. placed the app and have my figures crossed. The best price I've found online is about 450$ and that's without a bulb. I'll need to push those costs downward to make this a viable option on my budget.Perhaps a mod can move this thread to http://rollitup.org/f/grow-room-design-setup.66/ if the OP doesn't mind, will probably get more people to chime in there.

Very nice, thx brotherbest 1000w review
Maybe I was reading it wrong. Does every Gavita Pro system come with a Phillips DE bulb?growitbest.c
growlightexpress.c both have them with bulbs for under 460$
The Sun System AC/DE uses ANY digital ballast. I use lumatek ballasts, hammer is going to use galaxy. My ballasts are mounted outside the room on a panel, plugged into my light controller. There are a few double ended bulbs available for those reflectors as well. I'm using the Ushio bulbs. The Sun Sytem AC/DE reflector put out the best footprint numbers, but they do not note the ballast used. I'm not sure it is the Galazy Grow Amp, because they note that in their Hortilux standard HPS testing.
I noticed Hydrofarm released a new version of their Phantom ballast line, a 1k Double Ended eBallast. I'm not sure if specifically noting DE in the name is tech, or just marketing related. I know of a west coast commercial grower using SolisTek 1k ballasts that just switch over to DE bulbs by adding the adjust-a-wings with the DE socket. So far so goodThe Sun System AC/DE uses ANY digital ballast. I use lumatek ballasts, hammer is going to use galaxy. These lights fucking rock. I keep about 24 inches between canopy and reflector and have the glass lens off the lights too.
...But if I had more headroom, I'd set up Gavitas.
I'm (assuming) that they used the galaxy grow amp ballast for the adjust a wing and ac/de hoods since only remote ballast mentioned.Very nice, thx brother
Here is a link to a PDF of the test results: http://growershouse.com/images/DE_TEST_INFOGRAPHIC.pdf

that is the set-up sunlight supply had at the maximum yield show.If you scroll down on grow house page on the questions and answers they did use the galaxy grow amp ballast for the ac/de and adjust a-wing hoods. Looks like the galaxy ballast and ac/de hood with the Phillips bulb kicked butt.
Did they look as bright as the par findings test reveled? Waiting on my hoods coming Monday.that is the set-up sunlight supply had at the maximum yield show.
well, humans can't see P.A.R, but it definitely was brighter and the par meter reading was over twice of a new 1000 hortilux.Did they look as bright as the par findings test reveled?
