i'm not hungover.
i would have slept in later but the wife didn't turn the hose on for the swamp cooler. i need to buy a new float valve for that fucker, wasting gallons of water a day as is.

there's 1/4'' copper tubing running from the water line to the swamp cooler. only an idiot would even think you could run a garden hose to a swamp cooler.
new $7 float valve is in. took some doing to remove the old one which was basically corroded onto the unit, but i persevered.

You saving 30 bucks a month with that setup?? For a guy supposedly bringing down more than 50K per year it sounds a tad bit stingy...
Maybe if you took your wife to small claims court for the $2300 she OWES you, you could sleep in till 3 or 4 pm in nice comfy air conditioning. It is one way to avoid being hung over in the morning.

If not for yourself then you should quit drinking and get a job for your wife. If you really loved her you wouldn't make her stay in a shit hole with a swamp cooler and support your lazy ass... I have inspected hundreds and hundreds of homes and only the shit holes have swamp coolers. It is 1 step away from hanging rags in the windows... Dont you think she deserves better??

swamp cooler has my veg room at a perfect 50% RH right now.
flower layer is out in the garage and AC cooled, but could probably stand a little help. only about 30% RH at best in there.
i might even need to add a humidifier to my drying room, they dried out a little quick last time even at 50% RH.
but feel free to keep making an idiot of yourself because i enjoy my swamp cooler.

about 80% of the homes in this neighborhood have swamp coolers. average home price is over $300k, probably closer to $350 or $400k.
