In most places in America, you have the right to defend yourself by as much force 'as necessary'. There is an escalating scale with deadly force being at the top. Firing shots automaticly takes it to the top. Anyone around you is now in fear for their lives and can legally use deadly force against you...you had no legal right to start shooting at a trespasser. Tresspassing in itself is not a deadly threat...

How about a shotgun with a shell or two of rock salt? I am NOT for killing ANYONE over marijuana, just me, but it would be nice to hit them in the butt with something that would really hurt, but not maim or kill....

And it's like 5 just for the firearm in a commission of a felony huh?I know a 99 plant grower in Norcal that got raided by the Feds 2 years ago. They had a shotgun on the property because of bears. The only charge his lawyer couldn't get dropped was the federal mandatory 5 year gun charge.....good luck

Lame. I wasnt called except for one case and made it known I had a complete distaste for a police officers statements if there's no video or audio footage. And that I had been on the receiving end of that before.
