In theory if a plant is triched out could thrips get through essential oils to actually damage/eat buds? In experience do thrips prefer buds over leaves or buds at all?
Did you try spinosad? Works every single time for me when I get them back. Couple sprays, a week apart usually does the trick. It's organic alsoI had a thrip problem. The only way I could get rid of them was a Hot Shot No Pest Strip. I would put it in the tent during lights out, turn the fan down low, and let it sit for 5-6 hours. I did that every night, every other night for 7-10 days to cover the entire lifecycle. Haven't seen one since.
I put the strip in a zip-lock freezer bag to keep it if I need to use it again. It's really toxic, I wouldn't over use it. Some people might not use it at all. But, I got tired of trying to control them with "nice" stuff. Next time, I won't wait so long. On first sight, I'll go nuclear again.
Yes. It kept their populations down, but I could never get rid of them that way. It may have worked better if I started controlling them when I first noticed them in veg. By flower I was nervous about spraying the plants too much.Did you try spinosad? Works every single time for me when I get them back. Couple sprays, a week apart usually does the trick. Just an FYI, I'm one of those guys who has no problem with the nuclear options, if done riteYes. It kept their populations down, but I could never get rid of them that way. Whenever I get them again, I'll try spinosad sooner. (But, I don't have any trouble using the nuclear option every other day for 7-10 days.).
