I remember eating a baked chicken that was freezer burned so bad the fukin thing looked blue but it tasted good , i left home at 13 & was working full time at 14 & realizing how easy i had it at home .

People arent like that now days , most live paycheck to paycheck with minimum savings & use credit to live beyond their means & give little thought twords the what if's in life .

My parents generation worked from sun up to sun down & never pissed anything away except their lives from working 90 hrs a week .

I still eat Polk salad. But its from the plant we call Polk. Redish purple stalk. You can eat them til a couple feet tall. They get huge and grow dark purple berries.

Take the leaves and blanch in boiling water. Then roll them like a cigar and roll in corn meal and fry.

I'm only in my 30's. Most on here would probably guess older. I kinda feel people my age were the last to be taught manners an respect.

We had no cable or sat growing up.

Remember when TV would shut off at night. Nothing but a flag and music.

I was raised on stuff posted here. Andy Griffith, bonanza, in the heat of the night, gun smoke, the rifleman, 3 stooges, shows like that. I still like them.

I think it might just be me, but when Laura Petrie came surfing out of the closet on a wave of walnuts in the Danny Thomas episode... Well, I thought it was hot. I make my wife do it every year on my birthday... In those Capri pants... All those walnuts.

I met Lucy on the set when they were filming a rafting scene for "Here's Lucy" on the Colorado River. She liked my hair and made some comment about dying hers. But she was well past her prime in '69 so it didn't affect me. I cannot say the same for Natalie Wood in "Gypsy".

Next day edit: I think I understand my white calf-skin glove fetish better now.
