Thought it was a cool pic...

You can see the redworm (actually it might be another species, maybe mid sized night crawler), but there's also a couple amateur worms (they're nearly transparent, one is white, underneath the root). Around the worm are a couple little white bugs, those are springtails, and they're ALL OVER my soil. I've also got two primary species of mites in the soil, one is reddish orange with a bulbous body and slow moving, they are prey. The other species look like mini spiders, and move very fast, they're predators.

If I get any more "action shots" like this one I'll post it.

I will say this, I'm officially moving over to clear cups for little ones, I like being able to see this kinda stuff!

Weekly update, all 5 have shown sex, 5/5 females, I swear these are some of the healthiest seedlings I have had yet, still have green cotlydons. So I have made my choice, it is the plant with the webbed leaf trait. I must have made a mistake while germinating my seeds and mixed them up or something so the one with the webbed leaf trait was labled el jefe and I added the duck label to that cup.

Ok just to make it simple I removed every other party cup so im down to my winner and I made a stand to get it up, and out from under the canopy. And to keep from knocking it over again. I need to rig up a drip tray to this thing or something, I have bottom fed everything with full strength nutes from my dwc res and they all loved it.

I need to go snap a pic. It's update day. Everyone's lookin good.

BTW who ever wins this round(me) should change the rules to 18oz solo cups. 16oz cups are getting hard to find.

I've got too many 16oz cups. If anyone pays shipping, I'll send them, lol. Maybe a handicap for using the 18oz cups, or something?

Here's my update on my girl:) Getting bigger every day, but I had to top her again because apparently I just gave the leaves a haircut, haha. Seemed like I completely removed the meristem though. Oh well, I guess it was too small. It's happened to me a bunch of other times, so it looks like I should wait another day or two in the future. Here she is:

Not much to look at right now, and probably slow going for at least another week until she gets some more leaves. You can see the two leaf tips I accidentally chopped when I tried to top the first time, haha.

Oh yeah you're good, I was commiserating with you lol. I had to drop out last round due to my girl deciding to take forever to flower/finish.

"Fixed" my good camera. Going to give a extra update tomorrow with much better pictures, they are sleeping now.

Fix was really stupid, just a shaving from a SD card stuck in the bottom of the SD slot.

How would one know if they over watered? I'm new to this soil thing....

Do you see how the leaves in the pic above your post are droopy? Its because the plant is over watered a bit. The leaves still look firm, not flimsy, we call that turgor. They still have turgor. So when the plants maintain turgor but droop after watering, your obvious cause is over watering.

In under watering, the leaves and stems lose turgor as the plant and root system dehydrates. The plant gets a serious droop, leaves hanging type look. That's under watering.

In GroErr's pic do you see how the leaves are pointing straight out? You can see how the leaf angle is different than the other pic above. That plant looks happy. Not over or under watered.

Lol quick lil lesson for ya...
