Again...it depends on what you want to do. If you are just wanting to feel secure logging in to rollitup, then forget the usb and go with the straight browser bundle. Its simple and it works.
If after a time you want to upgrade, go with the usb stick option.
There is no point getting bent outta shape over internet security if you have a room full of cannabis. Thats what will get you caught. Concentrate on being normal. No parking tickets, no speeding fines. Pay your rent on time, dont piss people off and tell no one. Tor makes you anonymous. Not idiot proof. Install the tor browser and let me know how you get on. Just remember the tor network is a lot slowerer than reg internet.

Crap. Forgot to say welcome on board. What you growing? And its good that you worried about the missus. Shows a solid state of mind. You need to relax and enjoy the grow dude. As anyone here will tell you, growing is like 90% of the buzz. Its the thing you miss most when you stop.

. Odd ask no #993 Anyone every grown in a cardboard box before? Have these server cardbord boxes. Thinking of putting a tube in and using them with a 150w sodium as a sort of seedling to veg box. Any idea's?
HEy Ghost. Thanks again really appreciate it. My issue isnt with being caught from posting online. It is if they seize the laptops etc and see what I am saying online. Planning on putting my grow up and yields will likely be talked about. I know they value at 800 a plant and I plan on getting a lot from each plant. Long veg time plus high wattage in hydro. I know it doesnt mean i will but it is what I plan haha. So for example if i get 20 ounces but the plants (4) are worth 3200 I dont want them saying we saw online he said he got 20 ounces ( 700 x 20= 14k in there estimates. Seen 25000 a key but also seen 20 a key so not sure the exact amount). Thats why im tryna sort out my internet history etc. So currently I use only incognito and I have a safe email address (I may have logged in once before not in incognito but not sure. I have defo googled some cannabis questions not in incognite by mistake but it is rare) Someone said earlier on to bin my harddrive and start over using Tor etc. Should I do that ya reckon to be sure. I really dont know much about internet security (which i should as a young man haha)
My plan for grow is 4 plants in a dr 150 5 feet by 5 feet with 2 600 watts. Would prefer 1 1000 watt but dunno can i with height. I will be scrogging these 4 plants to fill out the space fully. 8 inch RVK l1 with rhino fan and SMS hybrid controller to reduce fan speed and quieten it down. Got an industrial pump (60lpm)for 2 100 liter reservoirs ( 2 plants in each). These coolers are rated as 5 days (keeps ice for 5 days) so temp issues in the res shouldnt be a problem. If it is a bottle of ice every couple days should do the trick. Seeds are royal seeds ( i think) critical. I have currently the two coolers, ph pen, ec metre, RO filter for tap, I havent got the tents, lights or fan and controller yet as I am still deciding fully on what to get. Im thinking if i get .5 gpw then that will be 20 ounces. Should do me for 8 - 10 months. Worried bout having that much dried bud though.

Okay so lets break this down.well first things first. Lets chill. You seem to have what you gonna grow under controll. If you are intent on posting stuff, like update pics etcs, then you need to start from a clean system. Go to here and run this

Damn thats a wish list for me. I would prefer the 2 600w instead of one 1000w for what its worth. I always like a backup system .

Thats appreciated. I would have had a lot of idea's about security as a personal thing...then I went working in the commercial sector...it really opened my mind about how to do stuff. Security is a state of mind I think....not just a collection of tools and software. Most business are no different than your average home grower......they just tend to invest in decent routers and firewalls...after that its all the same.
VPN;s are just gonna come a way of life. 2 years from now people gonna be wondering whats the big fuss. We all gonna be using them....cept they will come wrapped in a fancy name and be called social media.

Alwways liked the smaller systems. Was really impressed with your cfl grow. This time round using a 150cfl as a seed/veg grower. About to switch to the digital balast with the 400wmh. Only because for once I have the kit.
On the backup note....just picked up a comercial grade ups from the skip. Full on duall batterry setup with console port for powerchute. Tech speaking I know have a battery backup for my grow. And it was being thrown away cause it had hit its 3 year limit. Gonna power it up and see how much life it has. Wont be drawing on more tham 600w , which is the same as you average gaming pc these days.

Home v;s Business broadband
This is just for the curious. The difference between home v's business broadband has only 2x factors. One is firmware. The box you get from your isp is preconfigured. A business box is just set up different. A home unit tends to be locked down and simple. This makes setting up a vpn or port forwarding a pain in the ass. Recently most isp provide the same box but with different firmware for a business. This makes port forwarding and vpn's easy, esp if you using vodafone. There is nothing to stop a home user updating a home box with a business firmware/
The second difference is static ip. Home users have dynamic ip. it changes all the time. Fixed ip is easier to work with but there are rules,
As a home user the easiest thing to do is buy a second router. My pref is for dratrek and fortinet routers. These are bullet proof commercial bits of kit that you can buy second hand for peanuts.
I cant recommend these units enough. Your average home box is a piece of crap and then some. My personal fav is the draytek 2830. Cheap as chips and solid. After that would be the fortinet 50 b/c serious.Thses units lock everything down by default.......but have the option of creating vpns as atandard.

Yeah I've em in darkness today chopping Thursday n trimming..ain't had a smoke in a while besides the tasteran to see how she is...frontier than usual n all loving the terpinator.
I Find the bridging easy n with tor she's grand...and all free lol
